Yes, it's not an enjoyable experience, and yes, it's very rare to find one that actually works really well, especially among the newer versions, but it has survived for as long as it has strictly on the basis of its design. Yes, it's a god-awful piece of crap, but take it on styling alone and it's up there with an MX-5 in cuteness.
