Had this same issue earlier in a 60 roulette run. DRK did a moderately large pull, and even with Divine Seal'd Regen and Asylum up I had to stop dpsing and heal him twice because all he popped was Shadowskin. It's actually pretty interesting how big a deal cooldown (mis)usage makes. I honestly feel like healing has made me a better tank than actual tanking itself, because I can get a better feel for what "bad" tanking looks like.

There are two scenarios where a server's crafters all end up accumulating huge amounts of money: 1) Gil is being generated (mostly via botting and RMT) faster than it's being removed from circulation (buying from the Market Board, by the way, REMOVES gil from circulation through taxes), or 2) Gil becomes excessively concentrated into the hands of a small number of crafters, which only happens when a server has fewer crafters than it should have.

At no point did I ever say there was no RMT. There is, except it's not the main reason. Gil is devalued the more it is present. On a server with massively inflated gil values, the value of the actual currency is less because it's so widespread. This was not always the case, back in 2.3 Ragnarok was nowhere near what it is now, because there were less crafters, there were just outright less everything. RMT, content sellers and so forth. You can watch or go around the several FCs right now and you will see more crafters within the bigger FCs than non-crafters. Among the casual FCs you'll see more specialists than non-specialists. Raiding FCs save expense by supplying their own consumables, then sell off what they don't need. I personally sell every single food I don't use out of a stock at a time before I craft again. People transferred to Ragnarok when Chaos moved and since it was regularly open, they knew what to move to make a profit from other servers. This stayed as a lasting change, not from RMT itself. It is inflated and RMTers are present, but the inflation is, at best, 10% of a rise above Excalibur's average prices by comparison, and actually less than most of Leviathan's costs for various final products (crafted i220 as an example) while materia itself is equal to Excalibur's prices most days.

The server does not lack DoH or DoL, it lacks people putting in the effort. RMT is present, yet the very things that sell are components specialists require first
