Even CG movie is unlikely with the 2011/CG animation team working on GBF (you can clearly see the Animas style on the trailer, actually).

The only "shitstorm" or problem I could imagine from Namco choosing to ditch A1 for another studio is if that move creates bad blood between the two companies. I don't think it would, to your point about A1 having so much work anyways, but that's the only feasible "shitstorm" I could imagine arising from the scenario.

I'm sure there's just a script that automatically deletes threads when multiple of them exist in the catalog at the same time for a long enough period so mods don't have to deal with thread feuds. Last time this happened was during the deadest time of Veeky Forums so the other thread just sat around for several hours and probably triggered it.
