Hinata on drums, Sakura on bass, Kaede will play keyboard, but Sadone doesn't know what she'll do >Kaede reminds her that she's blessed with a beautiful voice, so she'll be vocalist and play guitar. And to follow up, I skipped a lot of specific interactions like I did with the last two times this idol-shit came up, so ask away for clarification.
Clover's story felt nostalgic for me for some reason, they did a pretty okay job with that one. Otherwise the writing kept introducing an issue then resolving it within the same story, which is a rather lame way to write. I don't have an image to properly convey the confused "what the hell" moment I had with the epilogue. But at least the nightmare is over right? Right?

From the shadowverse perspective, it wouldn't be exactly mtg but instead a game where the attacker chooses his targets, which are either board or face, and the defender chooses his blockers in response.
In the end it really means that the defender chooses how to trade every time, except for unblockable cards.
Thinking from an mtg perspective the difference is that damage to minions doesn't persist and resets every turn, and that you need special cards to make one creature attack another.

No, not without special abilities directly. The attacker declares his attack, and can choose a target for each creature. The target is either the opponents face or one of their planswalker cards, which is like a sub-player. The defender either lets that creature's attack happen or assigns a blocker to it to take the damage. The defender can assign multiple defenders to one attacker, so usually attacking is much riskier in mtg and stalemates are insanely common. That's why removal and hexproof are insane in magic, because you can protect important minions so much easier.

In mtg you either run face or attack a planes walker, which is like an amulet but it has health and activated effects.
You need a card like hunt the hunter to fight a creature.
A beginner mistake in that game is not attacking, unless it's a situation where you can only lose a guy and the opponent would be stupid not to block.
Also, attacking taps a card, which means it can't block anymore unless it has vigilance.
A game like the one proposed before probably wants trample on a few cards, where excess damage blocked goes to the enemy player. BTW dragon would probably get those.

When do ARs start taking a backseat damage wise? I'm barely over 5k squad strength and my AR teams just destroy my RF team for continuous battles even though it has 2 beast RFs, 1 decent RF and PPK.

It will be shit. Expect longer games because every attack will be picked apart by the defending creatures. The reason mtg battles works is because of the existence of instant spells and instant speed abilities.

I meant in terms of stats/buffs. The best case scenario for an AR used to be UMP45's 50% crit tile buff with a crit scope but that's probably going to change now that they nerfed her tile buff.
Depends on your ARs and RFs but I started seeing a massive improvement when my RFs reached x4.

Combining UMP45's tile buff with a crit scope would allow any AR with this combo to reach 90-100% crit chance making nearly every hit they did a crit.
I just went to test it out now and received pretty normal/average results instead of seeing all red numbers like before.

RF's DPS is better but not quite apparent early stage because their attack speed is low and at low level, they can miss a lot of shots. The only ARs capable of giving comparable damage to RFs are G11 and G41, and that's because of their meme skill. Crit buff does no longer apply additive.

Also, would it be worth limit breaking Swimsuit Sadone or Clover Sakura? They're the only blade cannons I have with offensive friendship skills, everyone else has time limit ones or utility. Granted, I never see first years or hammers in these fights, but might be fun chasing after the dragon on a banana boat.
