Car related YouTube channels

What makes people like car related YouTube channels like mighty car mods?
Do people use them to learn how to do stuff? Or is it just for the entertainment?
Trying to work out how these kinds of guys get so much attention.

they started as 2 gay dudes working on shitboxes in their parents driveway

of course it's popular

the mod max stuff is being shown on discovery turbo soon. sigh.

Working on shit boxes is good then?
No nice cars?

You don't like mcm I guess?

What's wrong with someone finding success doing something they love?

I see nothing wrong with it
Don't we all dream of being paid to do what we love?

No.
McM are awful

Why's that? And why do people watch them if they're awful?
Genuinely interested

>Working on shit boxes is good then?
>No nice cars?
It's relateable

I much prefer watching youtube channels that DIY cheap cars, because it's something realistic. MCM kinda went away from that for a while tho
>just haltech ecu this and that m888

Hang on while I just stick a haltech elite in the junk car and have it professionally mapped over and over, then fly to england to get some parts for my supercharged mini I'm building, might stop off in japan on the way back and pick up an s2000.

What's that? A box of brand new turbo chargers and a team of mechanics just arrived, lets make this cheap car a bit faster.....

It was watchable in the beginning apart from that horse moog, but it's just stupid now.

I think it's entertaining watching people build interesting project cars. I never take it as an educational source, but it does give great motivation to continue with my own projects. I prefer the motor trend shows like roadkill and dirt every day for wrenching porn, old car thrashing entertainment, and project motivation since there's no moog.

So it doesn't even matter what cars?
Or it's only cars you can relate to?

Yeah I noticed that aye
They fucking do so much work that's expensive shit and involves workshops

Marty and Moog are two genuinely nice dudes doing what they love in a great format. If you don't like them you're probably a fag.

>that's what cheryl said

so basically the formula is just talk to the camera, crack a few jokes, make it look like whatever you're doing is something you can do in the shed, but then actually bring in a bunch of pros and do work that's otherwise really expensive?

Dat file name tho.

I don't mind mcm but they are a huge cancer on the car scene, atleast in Australia. Ever since they got popular fuck off loud shitboxes have increased in number, with the drivers spurting out the 'built not bought' and 'it doesn't matter what car it is, it's maaaad and you're just a h8r'. It makes trying to meet decent car people nearly impossible, because they can't tell anyone where they're going without attracting shitboxes with mcm stickers

>>built not bought
I find this hilarious seeing as the mcm guys build things only with the help of experienced mechanics that get paid to build cars.

I enjoy Regular Car Reviews
