Well, there's four things. One, you're likely looking up words almost every sentence, when means you're getting slowed down. Two, it's a huge game, so at that pace you'll take months to finish it. Three, it's a game with plot, so having such weak understanding of Japanese means you're going to miss out on the nuance of events frequently. Four, it's a game with a lot of (good) comedy, and having such a weak understanding of Japanese is going to lead to a lot of jokes going over your head. In short, what should be a popcorny fantasy adventure with comedy thrown in will turn into a several month long trudge through a hazy series of events with comedy that falls flat. Honestly, the best case scenario is during the many, many months it takes to get through it you improve enough to go just fast enough for the experience to not be terrible in comparison to what it could have been.
