hoi3 was alright but abit to spreadsheety. however you are correct about eu4 being unironically better. It literally has 10x the diplomatic options, and you cant kike france as an ally to do your wars for you due to the favours or whatever its called system. Furthermore, it has actually implemented and viewable game systems unlike the shitty world world economy leading to liquoria memes
