I'm going to be on carpool duty next week for work I'm putting together a fun/hype driving playlist so I can prove to these guys that I can be fun and cool
You shouldn't listen to music, it's distracting. It's like eating, texting, and those people who have their side mirrors wrong so they have to turn their head instead of looking where they're fucking going

>Just put on Third Eye Blind's Greatest Hits. Their stuff is not driving music. And their leader was a copyright/trademark using ass for kicking others out for complaints about withholding royalties and credits.
OP stated fun or hype driving music. On the car's USB stick's folder for Driving Music, about 5% of the songs are deliberately not of the folder type in order to create contrast as well as give a mental break so that the next song feels fresher once again. On long trips that matters, but short trips it is possibly a negative feature. Your call.

Note **1: Fhána re-made Calling for the anime and it has a great feel in a car with precise speakers. It has a lot of warm but NOT thumpy bass. This is the kind that muddies up headphones and speakers which aren't designed to emanate certain sounds from certain regions of the cone/diaphragm. The individual instruments are clear enough that with only a little bit of attention span, you can force yourself to listen to just the base guitar, electric background, piano, or drums. Bass can cause a fast drum roll to merge but with this stealth system, each drum tap can be heard.
Note **2: (nana tanimura aka 'sexy seniorita') did idol singing while in university in order to make ends meet. She earned her law degree and then stopped singing a year later. Her deeper teary voice possibly wasn't good for idols since it seems strange to have a strong voice out of a small body (just like if you heard karen carpenter's strong voice out of her wispy thin body).

>my taste is autistic >better ask other autismos for a playlist just play the radio dude
Jaxson Stewart
Radio has too many commercials and CD's are always half full of shitty songs at best.

>fun/hype driving playlist so I can prove to these guys that I can be fun and cool
If they already don't know you are a fun cool person, then trying to use someone else's playlist selection isn't a genuine representation of yourself. If they don't accept you for how you are, find different people. Otherwise, you are just "settling" and also wasting effort. Anyways, music selection is so "high schoolish" an approach.
Or you can just pick one of the satellite radio channels for that purpose. They have lots of specialty channels whose playlists are selected for different moods. Importantly, it saves you time in winnowing songs because time is something we are all short of (except for NEETs). Satellite is also good because it has few commercials in it. In response to complaints, the company claims those "commercials" are actually product information announcements and thus are not commercials.
I miss my previous car's system. This new car I have to say out loud "Play Kotoko Wing" and it will find Kotoko's "Wing My Way" and play it. In the previous car, I could use synonyms for Play such as "Computer Fire". So if there was an ass on the road I could say "Computer Fire Phasers" and the female voice would say "Now firing phasers" followed by the phaser weapon sound. Ahh, those were the days. This new system requires keywords like Play which ruins the mood of such a sound effect.

What the fuck are you doing hanging out in jr high locker rooms

Wild Wild Wild Wild West is a song that makes you look like you're trying too hard. It's an over the top song that is fun to listen to, but you don't want to appear like you are trying to impress them with a music selection.
You lose all credibility if you look like you tried to impress them with your song choices. If someone tried that on me, I'd think to myself "what a faker".
Don't choose over the top songs like wild wild west.

tell the normies eurobeats or no beats. How else are you going to justify losing your ass on that corner. You gotta show them how to run in the 90s
Why not just set the radio to some "talk radio" channel so that people in the van can have a conversation about something rather than keep quiet. Or is it that everyone is napping in the van (or finishing their coffee) until you get to the destination?

outrun synthwave is pretty hype driving music
Jaxon Wright
>outrun synthwave is pretty hype driving music He's in a vanpool you know. If the van is supplied by the taxpayers and not the corporate employer, it comes with all kinds of conditions like "no hooning". It is not a passenger car but a van with as many as eight to 10 people on board depending on how its seating is arranged.
If your personal driving insurance doesn't cover the medical costs of paying for 10 injured people, then you shouldn't drive "inspired" in such a vanpool / carpool vehicle. That means not having driving music that makes you feel like hyper-driving.
Jackson Hughes
>CD's are always half full of shitty songs at best.
That's because music stars don't release songs in the order they were created. If they have a hot streak and make a bunch of songs, they don't release them all on the next album. Instead, they parcel out the good sounding songs one or two per album. That way, they get a lot more albums to sell.
What's disgusting is that too many of those music stars have wanted to get rid of used CD sales (outlaw used CD stores and prevent them from being available for loan at the public library). My public library has a large music CD collection available for loan. So if you want a ton of music to RIP, just look thru your public library catalog. It also has a ton of DVD and bluray loans too.

What's that music genre from the movie Drive called? It sounded 80s but it was extra shitty and you could tell it wasn't authentic. I don't know how they made synthesizers and cars seem bad
