Seriously. Why pay for something that's outdated technology. It doesn't connect you to the car that much more, I've driven stick in American cars and Jeeps. Paddle shifters are more fun.

for better driving experience I prefer manual every day (it actually does connect you to the car more) and there are certain types of cars i'd never want with an auto

They aren't more fun as there isn't as much of an interaction with the car, but I do think DCT is a decent system if you can look past it's downsides when compared to a manual.
