Lanius is taller than Graham, so he has the high ground. Graham cannot win.
Angel Evans
But Graham has the spiritual High Ground and has demonstrated that the physical High Ground is essentially meaningless considering he not only survived falling down the Grand Canyon (giving up several physical High Grounds) but emerged all the morally Higher after the fact.

I wouldn't take ingame SPECIAL stats to mean much, by that logic the NCR and Legion leaders you nuke are also godtier when they're really just like that to be challenging as endgame boss characters. That said Ulysses is certainly a tough motherfucker.
William Cook

Why does Graham pronounce Caesar as see-zur like a fucking Profligate?
Grayson Perry
Graham is a profligate now and knew Caesar from when he was still little Edward.

He was originally a mormon missionary who got tangled up in Sallow's ambition, so yes.
Blake Rivera
that was avellones idea
Luke Wright
Lanius vs Ulysses? The latter has 10 in all SPECIAL and is supposed to be Courier tier, right?
Cameron Gomez
Just use the GECK. My money's on Lanius; NPCs are susceptible to knockback that the player isn't.
Noah Powell
Momonism and Orthodoxy are vastly different. It would be a very bizarre military culture if he'd taken over the Legion.
William Flores
I doubt he was openly Mormon. It was probably something he pushed to the back of his mind or ignored, a lapse in faith if you will. Later, after being discarded by Caesar and having a lot of time to think and heal did he probably reclaim his Christian identity.
Liam Carter

How did Vaul-tec decide to use the Vault's as psychological experiments?
Seems a bit outlandish, although looking at the US governments past crazy projects, you can imagine something similar happening.
Jayden Taylor
How did Vaul-tec decide to use the Vault's as psychological experiments? The Enclave
Chase Long
No real understanding of what the post war world would like that, so they tried all sorts of different experiments to see how people would turn out.
Take for example vault 22. They had no idea what, if any, plant life would survive, so they turned a vault into a botanical garden.
Jaxon Parker
Weren't the results for the experiements actually for the Enclaves plan to leave earth for another planet, though?
Benjamin Evans
>tfw no Vault where everyone is raised on Cy Endfield holotapes and books on the British Empire, and supplied with bearskin caps and red uniforms.
I forgot to take Boone. Should I just get him now or what?
Ceasar is already dead
Alexander Peterson
It exists, but like the rest of Europe, China and the Middle East, its a no go zone.
I suspect there might be a Native American or Canadian Vault nearby, but I highly doubt the isolationist Americans would've built any for their European ancestors. You forget the EU formed a lot earlier in Fallout, and they were togged bogged down with fighting the Middle East to do business with the Americans.
Besides, F3 has confirmed the UK is completely fucked. Tenpenny said so.
Joseph Peterson
Yeah there are plenty of opportunities to get him points.
Easiest is free the Powder Ganger captives and talk to the First Recon.
Robert Parker
the experiments were planned before the war and before the enclave largely fell apart.
The vaults were various tests on the human condition and how it would respond to different climates and controls. So they could eventually see how humanity could survive after the presumed apocalypse and further into deep space exploration.
And then Fallout 3 came along and turned every vault in wacky experiment dungeon theme
Evan Rodriguez
>Besides, F3 has confirmed the UK is completely fucked. Tenpenny said so. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Whichever power reunites America needs to take care of those bloody Chinks and Eurasian swine once and for all.
ONE GREAT WAR WASN'T ENOUGH
Camden Rivera
Would would you want a none American Fallout anyway?
Even as a fellow Britfag user I know it wouldn't feel right.
Chase Garcia
Too late now, I think it has to be with Caesar. If by some chance he does say something about how Caesar didn't see that coming when next talking to him, then you could probably still get the points by saying it felt good. Unless you're a completionist it doesn't really matter.
Logan Cruz
Same here, maybe as a dlc it could work but Fallout is far too rooted in the US for the idea of a whole game set elsewhere to sound appealing. I feel you'd lose too much of makes it distinct from other post-apocalyptic stuff.
William Hall
I would've liked the Cloud better if it did something OTHER than kill you. Like, I dunno, melt your fucking suit onto you + damage it, or some shit. Something that wasn't just 'oh great now I'm gonna have to chug some of my food supplies/stimpacks'.
Benjamin Perry
bad writing
if you have to resort to 'le social experiment :^)' maymay for your story, then it's bad fucking writing, because it's literally only used by people who can't think of a REAL reason for someone/some company to be acting evil other than 'its a social experiment'.
Logan Roberts
...
Andrew Jenkins
Yeah, I agree, but I'm just too much of a teaboo.
Maybe I'm wishing that the Fallout guys could somehow apply the retro-futurist makeover to Britain. Have a faction that's ruled by a surviving member of the Royal Family, have Caths and Prods tribesmen fighting it out in Northern Ireland still (kek). Have the remnants of the EU trying to exert their influence in Britain.
Maybe have London be a massive ruin of tribes and raiders all fighting for control of the irradiated husks of the past, the Houses of Parliament, Windsor Castle, The London Eye is now a snipers den, Tower Bridge has become a micro-state of it's own, with machine gun nests in each tower, exacting heavy tolls on anybody who wishes to cross the Thames.
Jonathan Howard
what are they even going to DO with the data, they're all fucking dead
Connor Ramirez
Did you forget that the group that organized the experiments had survived the war due to their own preparation?
Xavier Ortiz
Just make it The Warriors but in London with obligatory Clockwork Orange shout-outs
Leo Torres
>applying todays problems to Fallout No. This is why I fear for a South themed Fallout done by Bethesda.
You'd have the issue of race handled like "you are a slave who leads a dindu rebellion against the Enclave who now wear white robes"
David Carter
And? What the fuck are they going to DO with the data gained from their ebin social experiments?
David Howard
did you gloss over every instance of plans for deep space exploration in this thread?
Colton Adams
Go to space
Do space things
Jerk off to security cam footage from their sadism simulators
Kevin Hughes
>You'd have the issue of race handled like "you are a slave who leads a dindu rebellion against the Enclave who now wear white robes" That's fucking hilarious and shockingly plausible.
Brody Morgan
Well, they were pretty set on the whole "SPAAAAAAAACE" thing until they got BTFO by a lone fucking tribal/NCR.
Hindsight is kind of a bitch.
By the way, are you fucking retarded? We just said what they were for: To see under which conditions humanity can survive, and making the neccessary preparations depending on the results.
Mind you, the plan existed already before the bombs fell, until the apocalypse blindsided them.
Christopher Ortiz
AND WHAT EXFUCKINGXACTLY ARE THEY GOING TO USE TO DO THAT
Stop trying to justify the shitty 'social experiment' meme and just admit that it's a product of bad writing.
Zachary Sanders
Honestly, a Dixie or First Family faction would work far better if it was post-racial. You can keep the airs of elitism and civility, but the racialism simply makes them unappealing to all but actual racists.
Adrian Perry
THE EARTH IS ON THE VERGE OF ENDING IN NUCLEAR HELLFIRE GEE I WONDER WHY ANYONE WOULD WANT TO LOOK INTO SPACE EXPLORATION

>Honestly, a Dixie or First Family faction would work far better if it was post-racial.

>tfw no wee britain vault

>US government believed the world wouldn't be like it was post apocalypse Back up by Randal Clarke's logs in HH. He says the government told everyone the fallout would only last a few weeks.
The vault experiments would've worked if the world turned out like the government had planned for. The Enclave are now just making the best of a bad situation.
Sebastian White
>black abolitionist scholars >whites singing slave songs >some kind of mecha-Lincoln secret project to liberate all the slaves
shit, I'm full /pol/ and I'd buy it.
Lincoln Adams
That's just about as dumb, except it relies specifically on contemporary perspectives of America's racial history to be effective. RP-wise, it's arguably worse. Tribalism is already an in-universe thing - it'd be smarter to build a racially-motivated slave society from there.
Adrian Brooks
If Bethesda is monitoring this thread, then we are fucked.
We already know their writers just read wikis for the lore.
Jeremiah Smith
I don't think the government actually believed that, it sounds like bullshit to keep people calm, like sitting under your desk if a nuclear bomb goes off.
Elijah Johnson
>Mecha Lincoln >opens his mouth and spouts out quotes in his nasally voice

Thinking about doing a Gundam build, focusing on Melee, Energy Weapons and Explosives. What's the quickest way to acquire Power Armor and training for it?
Nolan Davis
You get PA training from either the BoS (which takes several long quests) or the Enclave (which makes you walk all over the place to build history points with Arcade). You can pick a BoS or Enclave background with Alt. Start and get it right out of the gate.
Dylan Diaz
Get the power armor training perk through mods/console? If not, then go independent as soon as you get to the Strip and Arcade will suck your dick.
Grayson Bailey
It would only work if the issue of race continued to be a thing.
I highly doubt there was a mass protest movement like the civil rights marches, mainly because everyone was too concerned with Communism. If the late 60s never happened, then all this shit wouldn't exist, and America would still be full on "Red Scare" mode.
If any society is to be built on hate, it would more on ideology than race. You can possibly argue a society who hate Asians and Hispanics, but I highly doubt the differences between blacks and whites matter all that much now.
Eli Miller
>half the quotes are MLK quotes
Liam Campbell
go to hidden valley, go through the gate that leads you to the centaur pen near black mountain grab the brotherhood holotape and go back to hidden valley interact with the intercom go through the brotherhood quests, I think Hardin's side is shorter than McNamara's but I may be wrong.
Angel Reyes
>What's the quickest way to acquire Power Armor and training for it? alternate start and choosing the enclave background,
William Harris
Got it. What about a suit of armor itself? Is there an early game location where I could find one?
Jackson Wood
It is I believe, Haridn just has you kill the Van Graffs, McNamara makes you go through a few vaults to find spare parts.
Joseph Cook
>that fucking terminal quest
Jordan Brooks
JSaywer removes power armor training, so the quickest way would be sneak into Black Mountain and find the two Brotherhood paladin corpses.
Michael Myers
>Early game kek You can get a full Enclave suit if you go to an unmarked location across the Colorado and a certain mine up by Jacobstown.
Adrian Price
Black Mountain Crater with the centaurs REPCONN HQ, just west of the 188 Near the Boomers,
>deathclaws and cazadors
Zachary Ward
I'm not a /pol/fag but studies have shown again and again that people are more comfortable with people who are similar to them. While the vast majoriy would most likely put aside differences in order to survive, peopele making similar communities whether racial or ideological is far more likely than unlikely.
Camden Martin
If you fo Arcade's quest you get free enclave armor, so I wouldn't worry about picking some up.
Wyatt Adams
It wouldn't even work then. There just aren't enough people around for that kind of discriminatory slavery to be viable.
