Sadly yeah. His problem is two-fold, turbocancer champions and meta mean you can't get your damage out or even hit people most of the time, and the itemization changes did little to nothing for him, while buffing all his lane opponenents. Especially Zed, laning against a Zed is a free loss. Honestly he's actually good if your facing other more traditional teams/champs, verging on overpowered, but he's helpless against anything else.

Actually ever since they displaced mana regen onto support items and made mage items flat mana, league mages actually have less mana access than DotA intelligence heroes. Not even Tear would help Storm Spirit too much because his ult costs a flat rate plus a percent rate simultaneously.

Leona Miss Fortune or Bard Miss Fortune is pretty gay if you're playing a dashless adc because you literally can't dodge properly placed ulties so you just have to flash if you ever get somewhat close to their support.

Maokai was a strong pick in SoloQ and competitive this year for 3-4 months. Apparently thats not enough, it just had to be ekko because "lol he was cancer!" when people didn't fucking think of anything else.
lolg will never be satisfied about anything in this game. Thats why.
