What about Skadi?

Medusa is fun, but she isn't great in Conquest. She can bully lane early and her ultimate has potential to be catastrophic for the enemy, but more often than not you'll use it to do a quick burst and finish people off.

She isn't meta because her late game is shit. Her steroid is terrible and her escape is geared more for offensive plays. The only thing she has going for her is early push, snowball, and objective secure.

Hou Yi I can understand recommending but Medusa is way better than Xabalanque

She's eh. No escape means she's got a big liability, but she can dish out damage pretty well

AMC has better clear, better 1v1, better sustain, and better CC.
Chiron has better sustain, better poke, better escape, better damage, and a much more useful ult even without the killing effect.

Chest are money sink. If you don't have ton of money, buy gems during sale and prefer to buy event skin that also come with free chest role, like that you will get more value for the gems you spend. Also Smite often have free gems week-end, gave free chest for event like Halloween, and there is a lot of giveaway on twitter. You will start to slowly build a collection of skins, sometimes getting lucky and getting the one you want, but also reducing the amount of skin you don't want in chest.

She's not considered good in the meta, but I love her as a character so I stick with her. Her steroid is not very good. Her passive is very forgettable to newbies, but for higher level play its actually great for boxing. Her two is able to apply great pressure early game and excellent for tower safe tower poking. Her dash gets cucked easily, but does good damage and the healing reduction is especially great 1v1 since they won't life steal as much off of you or whatever scenario in which they have healing. Your ult is cucked easily but if you get it off, you can do insane burst. I suggest looking away then quickly turning right as the blast comes in, or starting it up while looking at a wall then quickly coming out and hitting them with it. Her learning curve is harder than most hunters I'd say but she's fun. I love her.

People say to get Telkhines ring on Chronos but I prefer Demonic Grip. Is Telkhines to offset some of his poor early/midgame? I think it drops off far too soon after you get it, especially if you build thoth.

I just don't like the play style of most assassins, I like to play support and mid, most assassins have all the same style of abilities, Thanatos has the single scythe throw, Thor has the single line wall move, ne zha has a single line forward dash and the with his ult and his ring toss. Every assassins abilities feels like I'm aiming sunder. That's fucking boring. Not even that, mercury literally has a small, single circle area that does damage, a single line dash, a speed boost and an ult that's just his dash on steroids. I don't know what to say, all assassins have a similar ability type, or they're auto attack based. Auto attacks and straight line abilities are so boring...it just further exacerbates the whole sitting and waiting and using a single ability that is oh so common with assassin play styles. The only choices for assassins are sunder style singular line abilities and auto attacks, and both of those are highly uninteresting.
