Shit was cash. We used to have Vicky/CK2/HoI3/DH posted all the time with no memes, when there wasn't actual grand strategy being posted we used to talk about history and politics. There were many different viewpoints, but even the commies and the natsocks got on back then, always civil no matter what. The discussion was genuinely insightful and thought provoking, big moral and societal questions were brought up and discussed at length, we will never even come near that magnificence again. It's all redditors, casuals, and paradrones now. Not that those are mutually exclusive concepts, of course.
