I went on a ride today and I was going about 55mph in 5th gear with a reasonable rpm.
Out of nowhere I felt my bike rev high for a second and back off.
Happened one more time and then downshifted to 4th all on its own.
My question is is it a common occurrence for a bike to slip from 5 to 4 under stress? I haven't even hit 900 miles on the odo yet

well coming from chicago seattle might not seem too bad. but pretty much every other city aside from yakima will be better
