Why not have the demo for physical too? Preorder and get a digital code for demo or other promos is what lots of publishers do for a long time.

They are. Carl is really hard to learn though, so I don't recommend him to a beginner unless you have experience with stuff like that before. Relius controls his wife more like you would control a Stand, so it's easier.

I think being good/bad on DoA depends on how much high/mid/low routes and unthrowable combos a character has. Bass happens to mediocre at both and also slow.

But DoA is pretty much a RPS game, so you can always take advantage on the fact that you're playing against a human opponent and bait for counters and also mix throws here and there. Just don't be predictable

You need to matchup with people elsewhere. I only could join a random once on it and that was lagfest. I think maybe they are using some variation of the t7 mods which would explain why it disconnects in the character select screen.

Put it in sandboxie and disable its internet access (the other stuff can stay default) .It's free though sadly not open source but seems to work. It's not guaranteed to work in it but it worked with MKX for me.
