Is Ford pretty much the shittiest leech brand ever?

Is Ford pretty much the shittiest leech brand ever?

>they had to borrow Fiat and PSA diesel units because they couldn't into diesel engines
>they had to borrow Volvo Inline 5 engines because they couldn't into I5s
>they had to borrow Mazda petrol engines because they couldn't into petrol engines

What a shit brand, can't even make their own engines.

probably Peugeot

>!mjet.oRqBk

Can't agree with you, user. Peugeot actually used to provide engines to various brands back in the day.

You can't argue with my points, famalam.

But they built better engines such as the EcoBoost and they are pretty much nailing it.

Now fuck off you GM FCA fan girl

And the one time Ford tried making a competitive engine completely on their own (that they still use), the Modular V8, it was/is constantly getting BTFO by Chevy's pushrod engines.

Ecoboost engines are pretty much based on Mazda architecture.
And even then they manage to fuck up their reliability.
Smaller ecoboosts are blowing up left and right. Google it.

The Ecoboost V6's are part of the Cyclone engines, which had heavy design input by Mazda.

I have to agree with you, tbqh. GM used to fuck up on smaller displacement engines back in the day, when they transitioned from those Isuzu units to the first Ecotec ones.
But they're making good engines, nowadays.

>le diesel punto meme man strikes again

>Ferd is literally so shit they can't even into engines without help
lmao

what the fuck? I hate ford now

>smaller blah blah blah

nigga the 3.5tt is a turd. My friends on his second new ecoboost in his f150 sport fx2

>Ford
>can't into engines
Whatever you say mememan

>GM has NEVER made a naturally aspirated street legal V8 as powerful as Ford's 5.2l Voodoo
BTFO!!!!!!!!

trips were a mistake.

I don't doubt it, breh.
I'm just talking about the engines sold in yurop.

>voodoo
Does it blow itself up if you pinch it with a needle?

>being wrong while projecting butthurt

delicious :^)

What is the point of being a tripfag on an anonymous image board? God, you guys are worse than the shills.
>At least you can be filtered

Regardless, why spend money on r&d when you can contract work out?

Is Fiat pretty much the shittest leech brand ever?
>They had to borrow designs from Suzuki and Opel
>Had to borrow models from Dodge and Chrysler so they could actually make money from Lancia and Fiat
>Killed off the Viper and will soon kill of the Challenger because Ferrari's and Alfa's were too slow
>Tried to leech off of GM even more, but GM said no

>Lancia
>making money
They literally killed the brand outside Italy because the cars sold like shit.

>They had to borrow designs from Suzuki and Opel
You mean Fiat actually provided engines to both Suzuki and Opel? lmao

Fiat literally invented modern engines as you know them, silly. You know common rail? You know VVT? Fiat invented both.

The Viper was a commercial flop, it was bound to be killed off.

The Ypsilon is still sold in continental Europe as Lancia, tho.

>>voodoo
>Does it blow itself up if you pinch it with a needle?
is this supposed to be an argument?

>You know common rail?
Yes I do. It was invented by a German, and was first used on a Hino Truck, not a Fiat
>You know VVT?
That was invented by Corliss Orville Burandt.
An American Engineer

0/10 bait harder next time.

Personally don't care how powerful their engines are in terms benchracing so long as they are competitive enough to produce results and they are their own.

This is why i don't like the new "GT". I could put up with the fact that it has a V6 (one of my favorite super-cars XJ220 did) but one that didn't even originate from Ford is a let-down. not to mention these engines are supposed to show people the future of Ford's performance lineup and what better way to pave a road to the future then by using the past to advertise it. "Beating Ferrari" at Le-mans and using the name of a dead legend. its like you're mom going so far out of her way to get you to eat your vegetables by having your favorite music artist come personally shill for it when you know they can't make it interesting enough on its own footing.

Maybe they should've partnered with Mazda and had them make a more affordable turbo V6 MR sports-car like Toyota did with BMW and the Supra. probably would've gotten me more interested in ecoboost instead of an expensive limited production car.
The Viper stopped production because no Side curtain airbags so it would've been against the law to keep producing it. Fiat had nothing to do with it.

>a rebadged car part of an agreement between Fiat and Suzuki, using Fiat engines that were already used by Suzuki
Gee, it sure was a "borrowed design."

>>That was invented by Corliss Orville Burandt.
>Fiat was the first auto manufacturer to patent a functional automotive variable valve timing system which included variable lift. Developed by Giovanni Torazza in the late 1960s [...]
lmao

>mjet

kys

>Yes I do. It was invented by a German, and was first used on a Hino Truck, not a Fiat
Totally forgot about this...

>[...]After research and development by the Fiat Group, the design was acquired by the German company Robert Bosch GmbH for completion of development and refinement for mass-production.

Fiat literally invented Common Rail.
Make dealings.

Reminder that Seat exists.

Seat is a VAG subsidiary. Doesn't count. Same with Skoda.

Is there even a car that Ford made, other than Volvos, that has an i5?

Cause it seems more like Volvo makes an i5, Ford buys Volvo, Volvo keeps making i5 just owned by Ford.... Then Ford sells Volvo to China.

In any case, Turbocharged i5 mustard race reporting B^)

>tfw the Volvo i5 is kill

>Ford I4 is Mazda MZR engine
>Ford V6 is Mazda MZI engine
>Ford V8 was notorious for decades for making less power than Ford's Suzuki-sourced V6

>Ford's Suzuki-sourced V6
Which one's that? Can you get it in any fun cars?

>Suzuki
Yamaha, sorry. I get my Japanese crotch rockets mixed up from time to time.

Nope, it only came in the Taurus SHO. Which I suppose is kind of a fun car, but it's still a Taurus.

As soon as you said Yamaha I knew it was the SHO.

They also had a real fun Mazda-sourced V6 in the 90s, by the way.

Henry was an antisemite
Fuck anyone else, ford is god tier

Are you talking about the K-series in the Probe/MX-6, or was there a Mazda V6 used in actual Ford-designed cars?

Yeah, the KL is the one I was talking about. With a bit of effort you can get it into an Escort/Laser/Tracer, too.

t. diesel FWD fiat driver

Does your car sound this good?

youtube.com/watch?v=O-W8lFkwuf0

>ford is god tier
Was. They've been taken over by Jews for decades now

Those aren't 50 state legal production engines.

When did that suddenly become a requirement, when you got proven wrong?

>street legal

>he has to resort to crate motors
>the most powerful N/A car GM ever produced made 505hp

GMfag status - BTFO

...

see

>facts are damage control

>trying to bait away the shame after getting destroyed
;_;

Teen memester is back

Ban this fag already so he can waste more time with proxies

YOUR BRAND WAS BAD ENOUGH TO BE BOUGHT BY THE WORST CAR COMPANY IN WORLD

I used to think people hated you for owning a diesel Fiat.
Now I realise its because you're fucking deluded.

>literally got btfo
>calls it bait
gm fangirls won't recover from this

>be ford aus
>make I6s for giggles
>put a turbo on them for giggles
>1000hp on stock internals

Poor murricucks will never know the mighty Barra

i6 distantly related to the one in the og mustang and falcon
havvin a giggle indeed

Dude, not even trolling

I bought my first ford car despite hearing all the stupid shit about them. I knew to not buy an automatic, that was it. I decided to go with a mustang, assuming that because that's their flag ship, and it is a GT, that they might of actually taken some care and love and put it in this car.

I'll start out by saying this. The cars engine is VERY reliable. 3v modular v8 you can't complain. I've heard the coyote has reliability issues but that's not my concern.

Everything else, made of fucking glass.

>Car came with a non working auxiliary input

okay, aux inputs were still new in 2007, not a hard fix either, just swapped in a new head unit.

>Pinion seals leaking, tie rod ends worn

Are you fucking kidding me? this is a 40K mileage car, That is not something that should of been going wrong unless the previous owner was drifting this car or something

>Driver side vinyl door trim peeling due to heat

Having interior materials failing under 100K is completely unacceptable.

>Parking brake broke TWICE

I am not a brake yanker. I push the button, pull up halfway, and put the car in gear. The cable has snapped twice, this is a 250 dollar repair EACH TIME

>Clutch is piece of shit, suspension is shit

The first two things I had to replace. The clutch and flywheel is the shittiest thing ever, it physically cannot handle the engine, and will slip if you push it too hard despite it being a perfectly fine clutch/flywheel.

The suspension will send you flying across the road if you hit a tiny bump a little too fast and it also makes your car look like a monster truck

But once all this shit is replaced, the cars pretty fun

You got this shit waiting in a file nigga?

My 1999 Taurus SE was one of the most reliable cars my family has ever owned thing thrived on abuse and neglect. Sold it with 174,000 on the clock for an 2005 Crown Vic which is also fucking indestructible. I literally have no idea what your talking about OP.
