Finally started playing the App mon demo.
So far this game is LITERALLY Megaman battle network/Starforce. With the the digital overlay for the real world, kids in a small japanese town/school district using digital monsters.
Interesting style of text. Having all text be on the bottom screen like app messages is a nice touch.

Wait, how can this Mugendramon be the same one from Adventure, even reincarnated? Isn't its soul still part of Ryo's Monodramon in the Tamers universe?
Or are we supposed to believe the games aren't canon, after the anime went out of its way to confirm them by making Ryo a recurring character? Is Ryo from another universe or not? He can't just be retconned out of existence completely, that would cause plot holes, and remove a fighting member of a relatively small team! Congratulations Tri, now the D-Reaper was never stopped and everyone is dead!
