VAG underrates their cars.
For example, the 1.8t jetta with 170 HP/184 tq dynos at 190 HP and 204 tq on 87 pump gas.
Not to mention you get full torque at 1500 RPM, if OP's is a diesel it will have loads more torque.
You really cant just look at the HP number when dealing with turbo or diesel engines.
