Must suck being a hipster poorfaggot.

was asking for civic
I'm from poland where diesel octavia is religiously worshipped, so this I know.

>FWD
>real modern equivalent of AE86

There's already a slow kinda boring shitbox with a crazy cult following, aka; modern equivalent of the AE86 and it has fucking 86 in the name

Ya, slavbro, octavia its a fucking good shitbox, but here in Russia diesel not as popular like in Europe. 1.8 Turbo most popular engine there.

>the real modern equivalent of AE86
>FWD
No, the closest modern equivalent is the BRZ/FRS/GT86

Do russians drive mainly on LPG? Or is petrol reasonably cheap?

>Had one job, just make a proper hatchback
>Release a monstrosity with gigantic fake rear vents

I don't get it, all they had to do was actually make it a proper hatch back and make it compete with the golf and mazda3. And they ruined it

Not true. BRZ iz a niche car designed for 1 thing. AE86 is a slightly more fun to drive corolla from those times. RWD was once more common than today. A FWD fun to drive shitbox like Civic or Mazda 3 is the actual equivalent. No it doesn't drive the same but neither does BRZ.

>Or is petrol reasonably cheap?
This.

I bought a Fit instead, I wanted a hatchback.

Yurop practically invented diesel cars. In 90s there was a strategy put in place to reduce CO2 emissions by promoting diesel cars. So diesel is often cheaper than petrol + diesel engines are 20% more efficient because of physics. Ofcourse now that half the cars are diesels there are problems with diesel particles which even though you have systems to reduce these emissions, are always going to be present. In my country you'te practically forced to buy a diesel if you drive a car over 1500 kgs or else you'll pay too much for petrol. This sucks as I would rather see more petrol cars with V8 etc. instead everybody drives 2.0 TDI and 320d and such. I do like the diesel torque but I would like petrol cars to be cheaper to drive, but they are not for purely political reasons.

Shorten the trunk, make it a liftback then we will talk

Balt here. Russia has it easy compared to us. Diesel is 95 eurocent/litre and 95 is 1.04 Eur. So no camaro SS for us

I'm waiting for the hatchback to come out

>bought a golf instead

Did I mess up?

>equivalent of an AE86
