Nothing will.

Why even live

Thank all the people who buy SUVs and crossovers.

Thanks to them the cars grew taller so that the SUV bumpers won't slap your head off the shoulders.
Second reason is pedestrian comfort on your hood.

Develop a material+construction that is thin as fuck, absorbs tons of kinetic energy and fit your car with a working pedestrian pillow - Voilà, you got yourself a modern and thin as fuck shitbox again.

>Tfw you will never find a unmolested ef hatch

>tfw your ef hatch was $50

That thing is fucking beautiful.

Any sick mawds in the future?

Believe that Trump will push for rolling back safety regulations on economy and sport cars

its already a non-stock engine

>that makes 30 hp less than stock

>>Tfw you will never find a unmolested ef hatch
You can find an unmolested Civic, but not the good engine version.

So it's a roller that rolls itself?

>tfw want to buy a CRX and keep it clean as hell
>tons of CRXes around here locally
>tastefully modded jdm rims and front end coilovers integra tranny swap all done by my trusted mechanic 4000 dollars please
fuck

its a $200 craigslist engine in a $50 shell

>getting 40-50 mpg and 0-60 in basically never

actually its been a while

>$150 engine

Did you pop in the engine yourself?

Want to buy my unmolested EF hatch?

>around here locally
You guys need to be willing to chase these increasingly rare cars. I went into West by-god Virginia to get my fox and literally every day I watch it's value go up.

How much are you going to wait until it's worth before you sell/trade it? I'm holding out for an LS1.

I would, but I live in California and I'm pretty sure California is a fucking bitch to bring new cars into. Gotta keep it (relatively) local.

Ew yeah. I've basically been taking advantage of the fact I live in a non-emissions county in Eastern Ohio while WVa and Pa are both emissions state-wide. The vin check on my Ram told me it had sat for years although it did have current stickers on the windshield I can smell the fuel in the exhaust so I dunno what that's about. The Capri is old enough to be emissions exempt though. How long until those Civic hatches are? Probably exactly long enough for them to be ridiculously expensive I'm guessing.

too bad it isnt an SI.

I kind of want to correct myself, because D-series is an outstanding engine, just not for racing. There is even a 130 hp VTEC version, that one doesn't feel anemic and can still work on the same trash gasoline.

That's an odd way to spell siR

>Tfw you will never find a unmolested ef hatch

kek

my friend recently got a stock Si for $1800

Doesn't the Fit kinda fill the niche that the old tiny Civic did?

Conas atá tú fellow potato?,
your civic?

Not in the UK - they're generally driven at no more than 30mph by old people.

I wish, the best one i found in my country was a rusted to hell ed7 for 2000€

What does "conas atá tú" even mean?

Look up K Insights

the fit is like the size of a Mazda 5

the new civic doesn't even weigh 3000 lbs, and has twice the power of the old civics, and is safer, and drives much, much nicer

"How are you" in Irish
>not having the google translate extension installed so you can just highlight text and click the translate icon that pops up

You don't get it user

>the civic will never return as a cheap small, fun to drive econobox

It already did in '07. It's called the Honda Fit.

...

I only browse with my phone

Thing is even in 2016 it's entirely possible to make a small, light efficient NA car just like the original civic.
Honda simply chooses not to.

posted the fucking thumbnail

The last good Civic

>Tfw you own two CRX's

lovin that leg room

>ft86

stop shilling.

these wheels cost more than the car standing on them

I went on craigslist and found this in two minutes, look harder OP.

losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/cto/5657873518.html

I assume that man is being blown away by the sheer nuisance of maintaining two aging CRX's.

What's a base model 5.0 capri go for these days? I know the mustangs have skyrocketed the last few years.

Is this where we change the standard Veeky Forums answer to "Buy a Fit and shut the fuck up"?

Pretty mad about this desu
Why did they make the newest gen larger than the accord from just a few gens ago?
Its like 3000lb now

I got it for $1500 after stalking it for half a year waiting for the guys list price to go from $3500 to $2500, riding 200 miles with my freaking mom, nitpicking it and playing hard ball. The funny thing is that if I'd have had a dolly and someone who I could trust to drive the fox I could have had a parts car to go along with it. I just didn't know. I feel pretty confident I could get twice what I paid for it though in a larger market.

Fit is tall as fuck and weighs 2600lbs with 125hp
Sure is "sporty" in here
1992 base auto non vtec civic would fuck a fit up in every performance metric

how hard is it to maintain a lawn mower

Nah, this is probably the worst type r up to date, the same gen jdm fd2 was the last good civic, although i like the looks of the fn.

>mfw the new civic sedan is the size of the first gen TSX

supercharged fit...I bet that thing rips. I kinda like it

It's the shape I love the most. I realise the EP3 is just as good but I'm just not fond on how it looks.

There was a really clean ef shell for 500 near me recently.

My 1998 civic weighs 2600 pounds and has 135 horse power, and that's the vtec engine. The base model has a 100 ish horse power engine. Civics were never fast and 2600 pounds isn't exactly heavy.

Keep your 20 year old base hatches folks, because in the coming decades they will be sought after.

>Just as good
No, it was much more heavier. Engine wise it had a whoping 1hp more then the ep3 , also it had worse suspension then the ep3. I agree though it looks awesome.

this

Are those NSX wheels?

Not even close

They're Honda's wheels on a type R ya doughnut
