Initial quality means nothing when the interior will fall apart and rattle within a year

>Ford so high up
only and strictly because no diesel fords in the usa. or else they'd be a meme by now.

>Honda that low
>Chebby that high
Times a changing

Probably not the new ones. Hyundai/Kia generally up-ed the interior quality in all of their vehicles. Wait until the Genesis roasts all the other luxury brands from left to right.

Can confirm have 2015 optima that I bought in2014 interior is still perfect. Overall been good car feels like my 03 accord with little more room

>initial quality
show me the chart that actually means something.

Wonder how much they paid to be on the top.

Who was that ass who told Jaguar came up in reliability? Look the chart.

I dunno, my gf has a 2014 Forte and it rattles over bumps sometimes. Also I doubt the Genesis will "roast" other luxury brands. I've been in the current one and it's nice for the price, but still doesn't hold up to the LS, S-class, or 7 series in quality/materials. The people who buy Genesis will be people who don't care about the brand or having the best materials. They will be people who just want a comfortable car for a reasonable price.

>I've been in the current one and it's nice for the price, but still doesn't hold up to the LS, S-class, or 7 series in quality/materials
That's because the current Hyundai Genesis competes with the E-Class, 5 Series, and GS sedans

The Genesis he's talking about is the brand Hyundai is launching, the new Genesis G90 competes with the S-Class, 7 Series, and LS sedans

Waiting for the interior to rattle like a motherfucker.

What's the point of initial quality? No troll i honestly don't understand it. Friend got a hyundai elentra and it's plastic hell

Oh, but even then the interior isn't up to par with the GS, 5 series, or E-class (especially the new E-class). It's comfy but you can tell they cut more corners than the other manufacturers with some of the materials and design.

Because you've sat in and driven the new cars, right?

This

Fords in Europe have aseriously dodgy reputation

Also the cheapest car, AT ALL, on the Northern European market, is the Ford Ka, which is a rusty shitbox stripped totally bare

This. Isn't "initial quality" only for the for six months or so? I'd imagine a study after 5 - 10 years primarily focusing the powertrain is what actually matters.

Okay yeah, this is completely worthless. "Initial Quality" only accounts for the first 90 days.

Also if you look at the reliability people actually fucking care about, like the actual car itself running, Toyota and Lexus get 5/5 stars as expected, and Kia only gets 3/5.

Not sure what the hell is going on with Honda though, they're usually right there with Toyota.

Kia only seems to ever be able to top JDpower which is basically a co-advertizing and PR agency. Funny how some brands can only top JD power and rank low on everythingelse lol

>Not sure what the hell is going on with Honda though, they're usually right there with Toyota.
Can't afford the bribes this year. Toyota can afford the bribes every year and the Koreans are marketing heavily right now so they have a good bit of $ allocated to bribes.

>Wait until the Genesis roasts all the other luxury brands from left to right.
I too have huge expectations for the Genesis. They did a good job in the Genesis sedan and I hope the brand lives up to it's hype.

Have you ever looked at the interior pics of the G90 they gonna launch?

>3rd world country
>specializing in luxury cars
Gotta cash in on that Luxury market dollar even if you work in a sweatshop

>lets just copy mercedes in every way possible

Ridiculous gooks. Just ridiculous.

>south korea
>third world country

>mercedes invented putting screens on the back of seats

Lexus copied Mercedes and look where they are now.

>t. kim hyeung bin

>limousine
>giant center tunnel so you can come out only on the side that you came in
>you can't even get a proper blowjob
>only option for action is fapping to internet porn on your 10 inch back seat screen

Initial quality has nothing to do with reliability.

Bmw that high on chart? Im surprised

Where were you when Big Money Waster raped Toyota with leather in reliability?

>South Korea
>third world

>you can't even get a proper blowjob
Yes you can. Just fold up the armrest.

In it's much more difficult, sure.

>buying a Hyundai instead of a Mercedes so you can use callgirls services on the move

27k miles, no complaints yet, but initial quality means nothing.

I seriously think that gen Optima is one of the nicest looking cars in recent years.

>Rental car is a Kia Sedona when I wanted a Ford Edge
>God what an awful interior, this car is a piece of shit
>2000 miles later driving from the east coast to canada
>Wow this car is comfy, the seats are great, power isn't too bad, transmission is buttery smooth

I gained a lot of respect for Kia after spending two weeks with it but I still wouldn't buy one.

Yep, that gen Optima is sexy as fuck. Came this close to buying one.

Agreed, everyone thinks it's a few years newer than it actually is. I wanted a maxima but couldn't afford one that didn't already have 50k+ on it so the optima was the second option, glad I went with it.

>>Rental car is a Kia Sedona

Kek, you too? I was so fucking asshurt because I reserved a compact and ended up with a god damn minivan as their last vehicle on the lot.

My god that thing was unreasonably comfy, great power (apparently it's the fastest minivan on the market. 7.3 second 0-60, faster than toyobaru kek), and body roll was amazingly contained for something of that size.

Obviously I would never buy one, but it made me interested in Kia's other stuff.

Yeah, the thing held its own so well and it was not even phased by the horrible thunderstorms that we encountered while trying to decipher baguette speak when we entered montreal in canada. Everything worked and worked well, I couldn't believe it.

>rebadged toyota with some fake wook
>good

Like I said, savage dog eating gook

They actually have a good reputation in europe. The only unreliable car they have is the fiesta due to the DCT.

Ford is gay Ford is gay boopadoopadoopa Ford is gay

>Suzuki
>Reliable

>burgerfat detected
Yeah not enough recalls and commercials to match Toyota reliability

this is my Kia, I love this thing

Pretty good interior, its quick, and it has a ton of cargo space.

Looks like it was designed in Adobe Illustrator by first entering the designs of several existing cars from other makers and then averaging them all.
>Like all Korean designs

>Like all current cars

Fixxed your statement. Almost no cars are unique anymore.

If anything its one of the more unique looking hot hatches.

>oh everyone does it
damage control

Because Hyundai is the only manufacturer that makes cheap rip off's right?

Same designer and Ford owned Aston Martin, doesn't count.

Ford did nothing wrong.

Ford has done nothing wrong.

Ford can not do anything wrong.

So what does the forte look like since you say its a copy and past design.

You mean kia has finally mastered not having their cars not fall apart before the warranty expires

Now we wait a decade to see if they can maintain that and actually have them not fall apart after the warranty expires

also

>these studies
If kia owners are all poor and either wrench on their own cars or take them to cheap mechanics that don't submit any sort of data to anyone instead of dealerships and associates, the charts wouldn't mean anything

What is wrong with getting the best features of the hatchback segment all in the same car? Do you realize how far behind the auto industry would be if no one copied each other? Volkswagen would be the only company with DCT. Period. Turbochargers? Only available to GM.

People in this industry apply elements from competitors cars, thats how it's always been, and thats how it'll be. It's not even isolated to Kia/Hyundai.

Pre-Genesis Toyota was reliable

>copying is good idiot, copying is ESSENTIAL
lol@this damage control, straight from Seoul

>O shit renault made first 4 door car
>cant have 4 doors, lets do 8!

t. Park Ji-Hung

>can't have 4 doors let's do 3
>europe raves

Talking shit about the designer of the TT on Veeky Forums, mom.

sexy~

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGG

>Initial Quality Study

Fuck off korean monkey

Korea's past rulers: China, Mongolia, Japan, United States (current)
Japan's past rulers: Themselves, briefly occupied by United States

American Casualties in Korean War: 33,686

American Casualties on Pacific Front of WWII: 111,606
Wow look who can put up a better fight, Japan, as always.

Japan: Does not eat dog
Korea: Eats dog nearly nonstop with every meal

Korean culture is based around Jacking off to plastic soulless teenagers and playing starcraft in cramped internet cafe and jacking off in the bathroom, and for ceremony they drink wine made from actual shit (youtube.com/watch?v=74V4BOF5IAg). They also manufacture the worst cellphones of any country on the planet and spend the money from manufacturing on plastic surgery.

Japanese culture is centered around strong work ethic, wonderful animation (which is stolen by Koreans, of course), as well as film, music, and cuisine, all of which are some of the best in the world, and is perfectly comparable to European culture.

Japanese Film Contributions: Battle Royale, The End of Evangelion, Seven Samurai, Godzilla, Rashomon, Grave of the Fireflies, Spirited Away, Tokyo Story, Late Spring, Departures, Akira

Korean Film Contributions: Oldboy (wow 1 good movie, incredible, and it is about a man who fucks his daughter)

Japanese Musical Contributions: Beautiful Koto instrumentals, Some of the best funk and jazz music in the world, highly technical metal and rock music, and exploration into nearly every genre, including pop, punk, noise, avant garde, ska, and electronic

Korean Musical Contributions: Awful K-pop that no one actually listens to, just jack off to plastic girls

Korea is nothing more than an American buffer-zone for North Korea and serves no purpose. The United States should usurp their pathetic weak government.

Pic related; Proud Korean man serving dog meat to fund his k-pop addiction and plastic surgery

agree with everything except
>Korea is nothing more than an American buffer-zone for North Korea

>Have a 2008 Sonata
>Abuse the shit out of it
>Still haven't spend a dime on maintenance apart from oil changes and tires
>No rust and the interior still looks almost new.

Hyundai is making good cars.

Anecdotal evidence

>quality study
>all based on first 90 days ownership
>not really sure how they judge what a "problem with vehicle" is.
Both Kia and Hyundai have gotten much better, but I'll stick to maintenance records and proven track records instead of shitty surveys, TYVM.

Underrated post

That shitty beltline with tiny windows.

Absolutely disgusting.

Actually, everyone is doing this design. It is to meet the regulations for impact safety.

One thing Kia does better then any company is tail lights.

>>Abuse the shit out of it
>>Still haven't spend a dime on maintenance apart from oil changes and tires

lol this is why Hyundai's have a shitty reputation and tend to not last. It's amazing how they seem to handle the abuse most the time.

nice Audi

Are the forte/cerato koups a good first manual car?
I want something better than my current boat to drive to work in each day

I should add, this one has done 50,000km's and is the base 2.0L

Yeah but not for that much. Whats the point when you can get a 2016 for $14k?

from what I've read it's just a facelift and I cant stand the front of the new model

i was there twelve years ago when i went with my mom to buy her 2005 Kia Spectra5 that was suprisingly built like a brick shithouse and never broke down, rattled, or cost us money other than general maintenance (she still has that lil thing)

also the absolute cheapest I can find for a used 2015 in Australia is 18,000
carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Kia-Cerato-2015/OAG-AD-12589317/?gts=OAG-AD-12589317>ssaleid=OAG-AD-12589317&rankingType=TopSpot

So that means I can fulfill my dream of buying a Sorento?

It's under $16k cad here for a 2017 2.0 MT base model. That's probably the fancy pants trim there which probably isn't worth it. With something as cheap and deprecation happy as a Hyundai you might as well get it new.

>Porsche always near the top
Why is Stuttgart so great, br/o/s?

they're built tough

Kinda yes.

Kia's are so reliable because they're more machine made than any other car.

A factory should employ thousands of workers, Kia plants typically employ less than 100. The machines can have every little mistake ironed out after 4 years, so essentially, the auto unions drove the well paying factory jobs right into the cold metal arms of robots once again.

I thought Mercedes Benz was quite reliable.

Nah the face-lift got a new friend 2.0 which is fast as the sx trims previous 2.4 and the sx got a 1.6t

Both the old and facelift in Australia have the 2.0l and the 1.6t respectively

Yes. Absolutely! Go for it.
