Car Audio

Looking to replace my stereo, probably an Alpine UTE-62BT (No CD, USB, FLAC support, BT). What are your opinions on car audio brands?

Alpine > Kenwood > Pioneer >>>Sony

>inb4 pee pee guy

For me it's not that important which brand as long as it can play aux and BT and that the colors of the led can be controlled to fit the color theme of the car.
I bought this meh JVC KD-R600BT because it had the criteria I needed. Also came with Hands-free mic which was a bonus much appreciated due to BT.
>small, no fuzz, has aux, cheap, does the job.
Also this little fella.

Veeky Forums absolutely adores Pioneer. Great quality, especially for their price point

I have a Kenwood Exceleron head unit in my car. HD radio is very nice because I've always had static before

Mount it under the dash. It looks like shit when guys cut out their dash and shove these in.

Fuck right off man, I'm not going to spend my coffee break telling you why you're retarded.

>he gets so mad that i can hear music
Now tell me all about the clipping and poor quality.
Even though you have never heard one.
I love when you sperge.

I run an Alpine headunit, with a complete alpine S speaker set (6 total) my fucking truck sounds amazing. Make sure you mess with the equalizer and shit. Everyone thinks that i have a super expensive sounds system with a sub and and amp, but they get amazed when i tell them I'm not running an amp or a sub, which all together cost me under $400 because of the self installation.

Clarion > Alpine = Kenwood >>> Pioneer = Sony

fixed it a bit

>he doesn't understand ohm's and joule's law
>he can't drill a round hole
You're the one telling me you can make a statue out of shit, I'm just the one telling you you've made a pile of shit.

For whatever cognitive dissonance or dunning-kruger effect you're suffering from, you seem think I'm the one being a sperg. There's no reasoning with you.

>FLAC in a vehicle

I have the s series sub and 500w amp for it. It sounds great, no shitty bass, i might get another

kienzle is always the right answer

I seriously hope no one does this for any other reason than that their home audio files are FLAC

Recently got this Pioneer for my Toyota.

Has everything I want; color settings, brightness settings, USB, AUX, DAB+

Oh right, got any pics on it?
Did you sell the Benz?

Shouldn't you be mightyToyo now though

Thanks. I needed that. Morons writing meaningless things on the internet and thinking they know things but really dont...
... is my fetish

Why do replacement radios for cars always look so gaudy? I don't want a discotech on my dashboard, I just want a working radio that I can plug my phone into. They also have such stupid ergonomics with any excuse to make the volume control do something else if you touch it wrong.

Why the fuck do all the after market units look like a 13 year old made it? All I want is something that simple that wasn't an offshoot of something from the matrix with all of the dumb LEDs and chrome pieces.

>(No CD, USB, FLAC support, BT)
latest range of kenwoods do that and are cheaper and have better internals

>haven't been poor enough to own a car in the last 10 years that allowed you to replace the radio.

Man poverty sucks.

The car or the stereo?

Sold the C-Class three weeks ago, two guys drove fucking 8 hours to come look at it & buy it...

> Alpine = Kenwood
Hahahahhaha, NO. Please, kill yourself, my man.

Then you'll love the shit that this guy posts about his faggot car and retarded "sound system". When you get him going, he'll come up with all sorts of retarded statements and tries overselling his 10$ pee-pee amp from chinamazon with all his might.

>this guy
I am this guy.
Go ahead and tell me all about things youve never seen or heard.

yeah, you are right
kenwood will be cheaper and have more options

200 meter unna hytta mi

man, it must suck to not be able to install some nice audio and and eat whatever shit the manufacturer serves you while pretending to enjoying it and being delusional enough that this is any sign of not being poor

Stemmer det gitt

Another poster, but have you looked at the specifications for that IC properly? In particular, signal distortion versus output power and distortion versus frequency? It's very poor above 10w and very poor above 15KHz. The plotted frequency response is dropping at least 12dB/octave below 100Hz. So this module cannot effectively reproduce low frequency at all, high frequency above 15KHz effectively or any frequency when output power is above ten watts. The crosstalk figures aren't shocking but they aren't good, same with SNR.

It has fixed gain so your volume pot is an attenuator, not a gain multiplier, so depending on the input device the noise floor may be very high with no adjustment for this process.

TDP is 33 watts for 10w a side. Not great but it's a single A/B bridged IC.

There is no power supply section so it is entirely unregulated. Changes in supply voltage are directly attributed to changes in output power. Without a supply the maximum speaker output voltage is limited to the rail voltage. If that's 12v, then the max out put is 12v at 1A for 12w MAX. Bear in mind that all of the specifications are taken with input voltage of 20v. Power output drops and THD rises as the input voltage drops.

Seeing as the IC was designed to put five watts a side into CRT television speakers these issues are to be expected. If you think that sounds good enough, well..... Good for you. But that's pretty sub-par.

>never seen or heard
I've heard what a manufacturer claimed to be a 50WRMS output (actually closer to 30W) for 200€ 5.25 speakers rated for 100WRMS @ 4ohms and it can not fucking compete with a proper amplifier that manages to push the specified 100WRMS to drive the speakers.

Nobody wants your shitty little pee-pee amplifier pajeet, you're only embarrassing yourself in these threads, you can't even drill a round hole. People want audio that sounds nice, your shitty 10$ investment into a mosfet is not what people are looking for.

If someone is as much of a poorfag as you that they can't afford 250-300€/$ for an amplifier and nicer speakers + 60-150€/$ on a head unit for their DD, instead fall for your little autistic shitstick insider-meme, I feel bad for them. Even a cheapo-head unit is a better choise than that shit you have in your french fagbox.

But whatever, you obviously have a cognitive dissonance of some sort regarding this, so you won't believe, you likely wouldn't even believe someone who worked on car audio for a living. Just like the last time I wrote a half-page article about your retarded pee-pee amplifier. Have fun with your overheating mosfet and subpar audio quality.

Pic related, faggot. That's a ~300€ MSRP bluetooth speaker with 4x 15WRMS output for 2x3" + 2x3/4" at 4 ohms that I have on my nightstand. Take note that those are small drivers that have been tried and tested for audio quality that's expected from a company with 60 years in high fidelity audio and they are just about enough to fill my bedroom with sound. That sounds acceptable indoors. Your shitbox renault with the 25 year old stock shitspeakers with whatever the fuck internal resistance combined with a chinese mosfet, for which they officially suggest you upgrade the heatsink on BTW, the road noise and what I expect is anime OST's off youtube from an iphone through a 0.05mm^2 AUX cable is not going to be anything reminiscent of quality.

>€
>He thinks im europoor
>he thinks i would buy a renault
>he doesnt even read the pdfs
Lol poorfag

Forgot
>he wastes time writing paragraphs
>he thinks i care about what he has to say

Damn not even him, but you make me sad as fuck, just knowing somone as ignorant as you browses Veeky Forums makes me sad AF m8

...

For me sony is GOAT, just need to get the right models.

whatever fits the look of the car,

matched alpine set with 250w amp and components in the 'vo

>300€ MSRP bluetooth speaker

Trolls trolling trolls.

crutchfield.com/p_105KDX330B/JVC-KD-X330BTS.html bought this cutie a couple weeks back and I love it.

22 watt rms per channel, 4 volt pre amp for subs or speaker amp.

cross over controls that allows you to adjust the speaker size and the speaker gain, high pass filter.. etc.

Great Bluetooth connectivity which allows you to make calls, or play Pandora/Iheartradio

cons are:
- it doesn't come with a CD player (but who uses that)
- only comes with 2 sets of RCAs Front and Rear/Sub switchable, which isn't a problem for me since i don't plan on amplifying my speakers.
- only illuminates the color blue which for 80$ isn't a deal breaker.

>peepee port

go to your home my man, it is here that you should not be with peepeemusic

BTFO

how can he ever recover?

That Kienzle one is nice but if you need a double DIN there is a Blaupunkt Jersey or something, still not as clean as I would like but better than in-car disco

On a side note anyone know if all these headunits will do the thing where they display the name of the song and artist? I listen to radio a lot

>2din
i've been there
you're fucked m8
your choice is either a touchscreen tablet or stuff like mcintosh or that panasonic posted itt and these cost an arm and a leg

pic related is the only decent head i could find
and this one only works if you have chrome/silver parts in your interior

And how much does it cost?

Or a DIN head unit and another DIN object, like a coin tray or UHF radio or even a blank.

holy shit saab love
>from a few years back when i still had my dank saab

Portishead. Noice.

Fuckin' love Sonar Blowjob.

i've bought mine for 100$ used
they are pretty damn rare but possible to find

and it's a clarion, so it plays excellent

what an ugly tachometer

How old is that piece of shit?

'01 faggot kyf for not loving jet fighter tach

hell yeah!!!!!!

>My dick when I've got the same unit

This is the only thing I've got showing it, although it isn't a saab

What car?

>glorious fz102e

Pic of the 9-5 is dated now since I swapped from that 03' Aero to an 04' full spec wagon Aero.

>fresh started, same level of fuel.
I don't really like the double speed, only need KM/h

>150774
Configured for KM or Miles?

i would just use alpine because of the eazy e song

yep!

Have you looked at bluetooth speakers, faggot? They're crazy expensive if you're looking for anything that has nice quality. The Onyx Studio is in the top end of the curve for small portable bluetooth speakers, right there with the 200€ Bose Soundlink mini 2 and 300€ soundlink 3 which both have impressive sound for their size.

And we're not talking cheap chink shit made out of spare parts and sold on aliexpress. Bose and HK are the Apple of audio, so yeah, the price is pretty high, but like anyone who has used an apple device, the quality has been worth the price payed, even when you know you've paid a markup for the logo.

>ITT assmad fagoots being a bunch of autists over car audio
>as if it matters in their shitboxes

>his pee-pee chinese amp overheated
Why do you take your frustration out on others, user?

looks fun user, can't wait for winter to skid the shitbox
