Title says it all, I've ran into some money recently and I have about 40k to blow on cars. I love cars from the late 80's-early 90's.
If you had 40k what 90's cars would you buy that are road legal in burgerland? What I specifically want are examples of each drivetrain (FF, MR, FR, AWD) that had exceptional handling capability. I'm looking at an Integra Type R for FWD, and a 90's turbo MR2 for MR, but I can't seem to think of many FR 90's cars that came with three pedals and exceptional handling. Care to help an user out?
Jack Baker
why not a c6? they are pretty decent you can get a damn good one for 40k
Chase Rodriguez
I don't really want to spend all my money on one car, if I were doing that I would honestly get a barely-street legal racecar and kill myself or something. Besides, if I was going to blow 40k on a car it'd be like an NSX or a MKIV Supra, possibly an older Z28 or Mach One.
Adam Thomas
supras were not known for handling though.
Thomas Sanders
C6 vettes weren't known for their handling in the 90's.
Jace Harris
DC2 Integra Lotus Elise FD RX-7 GC8 Impreza
Nolan Roberts
yes they were...
Colton Harris
>production started in 2005 Not really.
I'll look into those, though it's hard finding a 90's Elise for anything but half my budget.
Dominic Perez
Rx7 FC and impreza 2.5RS, the coupe one. Although ask yourself, do you want four cars, or one car that you can spend as much money as you want on?
Owen Brooks
I make 200k a year atm. I have 40k set aside for personal use, 30k on top of that as "just in case" money. That's just my car budget.
John Evans
>supras were not known for handling though. Of course they were. They're Japanese.
Joshua Turner
Supras are known for being pigs
Jacob Phillips
Miata with sick mawdz.
But seriously go find a 99 NB spec miata car with a blown motor. It will already have immaculate suspension, weight reduction, and strength. Rebuild the 99 motor with forged internals and add boost.
Ta da, you now have a car able to beat just about anything to 60 from a light due to its gearing, as well as being able to stomp on anything in a corner, even at above 100 mph cornering speed (assuming this is spec miata chassis).
It won't be practical, or fun to drive for long periods of time without a water cooled racing suit, but it will be under 20k and an absolute riot anywhere you take it.
Ayden James
could i possibly do it with an NA miata? i really like popup headlights.
Caleb Edwards
Convert it to NA front end.

FWD suggestions: Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Quad 442 (bonus points for rare W41 package, only 200 built for homologation reasons) Oldsmobile Achieva SCX Dodge Neon ACR Dodge Neon R/T Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 Pontiac Sunfire GT Saturn SC2 All these cars did exceptionally well in SCCA Showroom stock racing. also, the Honda Prelude/Accord Coupe
MR: Pontiac Fiero (bonus points for 1988 model with the V6) AW11 Toyota MR2 SW20 Toyota MR2
RWD: Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (bonus points for 1LE package) Pontiac Firebird. (Bonus points for their equivalent to the 1LE package) C4 Chevrolet Corvette (bonus points for 1989+ model with the 6 speed manual) Z32 Nissan 300ZX SN95 Ford Mustang Cobra
Dominic Cruz
question. IS it possible to convert an NB to the NA front end? I've always wondered about that.
Joshua Adams
Reasonable. I like it. I might just buy the last 6 FWD suggestions.
huh, never thought of that.
Kayden Price
info on the mentions Oldsmobiles.
Xavier Cruz
...
Lucas Anderson
The front wheel drive cars you mention won a lot because comparatively they had a lot more power.
Peugeot 505s had the same story as they had more power than the S12 gazelles and 924s they were fighting.
Parker Reyes
might as well mention the
Civics CRXs Probe GTs Nissan NXs Sentra SE-Rs
on that fwd list
some of those cars are shit (SC2 Cavalier Sunfire)
F-Bodies handle like complete shit too
Michael Green
FD RX7, s-chassis a r32 GTR would be my pick for AWD
Jason Gray
>S chassis
those are terrible without thousands in modification
especially the RS13
Matthew Rogers
Xantia Activa
You can fuck every cars listed above and after my post
Cameron Murphy
Yeah but OP said he had decent budget
Ian Reyes
can you get those in burgerland?
OP here, I do have a decent budget but I already have plans to get a 180SX imported and a Sil80 conversion, not really interested in any other S-chassis.
Grayson Watson
>can you get those in burgerland?
not to drive around like a normal car
Christian Morgan
Nope you can't. Even in France you can't, especially V6
Xavier Johnson
aw, i really do like EU cars. still jealous you got the best Focus RS and the Cosworth Sierra.
Brayden Cox
>These cars did well in showroom stock racing, so they have fairly good handling >lol those cars are shit because shit. fuck off weeb. Go masturbate onto a Civic or something. OP asked about handling, not quality.
Jose Howard
>FR 90s car DORITO
Andrew Brown
yeah and those cars handle like shit
benchracers who have never been behind the wheel shouldnt make claims bruh
Ive been in all 3 and theyre terrible
Xavier Bennett
terrible quality does not translate to terrible handling.
BTW, your waifu a shit.
Brayden Jenkins
they dont even handle well
they dont do anything well except be commuters for poorfags
Matthew Sanders
Those cars are so rare they might as well not exist.
Adrian Wright
No its not possile. i think fd bumpers will fit an nb though with a little bit of effort
Benjamin Smith
t. underage benchracer
Henry White
Those cars did well because they had more power and US circuits are power focused
Joseph Miller
youre dealing with benchracers here
they dont know anything other than looking at results
