I have all 3 drivetrains.

1996 Accord
1985 Supra
2004 WRX

The Accord, is stock with some wider wheels/tires (off a Celica Supra). Has maybe 105 HP, its fun around turns, but depending on the turn, there is tire spin and it will move to the outside of the turn on its own. Maybe a few inches, nothing crazy. If it had more power, it probably would be a bigger issue.

The Supra handles great, despite the old suspension. Having wider wheels on that too, it grips around turns really well and has just enough give in the back where you still have control but can corner just a bit faster. Its more stable coming out of turns than going in, opposite the Accord.

My Impreza is fully built, and has a lot of suspension work too. Far more horsepower than either of those, but shares symptoms of both. It's more stable going into turns than a RWD, and more stable coming out than FWD, but I'd say the biggest issue is at the apex, where the front and rear wheels want to do two different things. I'd say it's a good balance between the two, but you can't corner as fast with the AWD as much as you can RWD.

Each of these has vastly different amounts of horsepower, 110,160,400, so it's not easy to judge all 3 completely equally, but from what I've felt in these and other cars RWD>AWD>FWD, in terms of cornering speed. AWD>FWD>RWD in terms of stability.
