My daily driver '09 HHR SS needs about 6 grand in work. Should I fix it, get a new economy car, or finance a used c6 corvette and get a craigslist beater for a daily?

What the fuck could break on a 7 year old car to need $6000 worth of work bro

C5 Z06 bruh

Major suspension issues.

fix it. there's nothing that can properly replace an HHR SS.

I've looked into the c5's but personal preference, I prefer the c6

I own the HHR by the way. No payments.

list them. I know my Delta cars.

The shop told me over the phone. I don't recall the details.

unless you're replacing the entire suspension, front and rear or replacing the electric power steering system, I think they're fucking you over. The HHR suspension is identical to that of the Chevy Cobalt. Find out EXACTLY what is wrong, then come back and ask questions here.

Will do. I'm just exploring my options.

Also, having issues like this at only 50k miles is not really doing much for my confidence in this car.

Keep the hhr ss. Digging the color too. You rarely see these too. And yeah 6 grand for suspension? I'd find out exactly what needs replacing. Suspension shouldn't cost that much. I'd try and do what you can yourself too.

Literally I'm shit with a wrench. I break things replacing a toilet paper stand.

even then. Delta cars are so fucking easy to work on, it's ridiculous. There is no way it costs 6k to do anything suspension related unless it's a full custom one-off race suspension.

That's a very nice Aich Aich Arr, op.

,,,,,

>6 grand in repairs
>2009 car
GM quality, ladies and gentlemen

more like shitty, lying mechanics.

Did you gey a fix everything quote from firestone or whatever? I could replace every single bushing, ball joint, shock and spring for less than 6k thats fishy as fuck. Less than 2000 even

C6 and a daily.

i have a nice GTO and a cheap jeep to drive daily, best decision I made car wise. I honestly can't understand why people just have 1 car

Plus you can get rid of the homo hot rod

>Cheap
>Jeep
More like gas guzzling and inefficient

Ehh gas is a little over $2/gal. Not a big deal, and I need something 4x4 that will carry tools and shit for work

>I honestly can't understand why people just have 1 car
>insurance on more than one car
>maintenance on more than one car
>need parking space for more than one car
It's all good if you're established and have a nice home but most of us are poorfags still in college and literal kids.

Get a new car. If this one needs $6K already, it's not a keeper.

What's a Delta car?

the only car that's uglier than a PT crusier isn't worth 6 grand.

I love my HHR, cheap as hell to fix too. Mechanics fucking You over st 6k

It changes from time to time

Why not just drive it?

>suspension
>mac strut shitbox

nigger please you could replace every single suspension and steering component on the car for like $1000

>>need parking space for more than one car
>tfw your WHYPZ taking up the entire street

call da poh lice

>part it out and get some cash for it
>get a reliable old shitbox in decent shape from craigslist as your DD
>finance your C6

imo I think a C4 or C5 would be a better idea but you do you pal

>wants to sell car because of suspension components going bad
>no confidence
>took it to a shop, doesn't recall what it needs but it's 6k$
I found your problem. You're a fucking idiot.
