I don't care about Mitsubishi - but link to these 'ranks'?
I dont think the Pajero and the outlander are that bad desu
Mitsubishi still makes cars?
Car and Driver ranks cars by category
Lol duhhh. Haven't you ever heard of the evo EX a.k.a the gaybaru killer?
>killer of anything
>not killed by the WRX, Focus RS, and Golf R
Evo died with the IX
From memory this is also when the evo got too expensive for its own good
>X
>not still the bane of the equivalent year WRX STi
They were never particularly cheap to begin with, though. If I had to blame something for the "decline" of the Evo it'd be the FIA killing Group A. Instead of using the VII for WRC they used a heavily modified Lancer Cedia that didn't need to be sold to the public. The VII itself was capable, but sold for the sake of perpetuating the Evolution nameplate instead of as the WRC vehicle.
They all get crashed in the end anyways so why would they put effort in making them?
How retarded is my friend for buying a 2016 Lancer?
>doesn't even have the 730W sound package, the only thing good about them
Same car my 2008 was, except mine was better
Aren't the complaints always
>muh interior
>same car as the 200X model
>nevar 4get Pearl Harbour, when the Japs crashed a Zero into the WTC
They make something that works and don't bother updating it till they absolutely have to.
>because Jackie Chan and the first two Fast and Furious movies.
Jackie Chan would make it negative in my book. He spends his time in China badmouthing intellectual property rights, trademarks, and patents that keep the chinese down.
pretty retarded, but so are you for being a canadian
Didn't you lose the keys for the MR2?
Nope, have all 3
Well hes from New Brunswick so very fucking stupid
>nova Scotian
They make fine trucks and their utes are okay too. Certainly good value.
Their SUVs a lot of people buy because all they want is a cheap SUV so they can ride high and feel safe and don't care about normal car comforts. If you recall before Mitsubishi pulled out of America they changed their focus to mainly SUVs. They don't do luxury very well
Forgot pic. I see lots of these around.
Brand new ones too
looks like a luxury truck
It most definitely isn't
What is this new meme where jackie chan is a pro chinese anti american shit head? Or is it just you
Because you can buy this for 11k, new.
Mitsubishi dominates the small(i'm talking small) car market in Asia, Europe, and Africa. The North American market is basically an after thought.
It's true though. The minute China became a huge economy and people had money to spend on shit. Jackie basically became a commie sympathizer.
I've only ever seen 1 Fuso and it was on fire
12/10
What publication was that that called the current generation Mirage "the worst car made in the last twenty years" a couple of years ago? I think that was the most brutal review of anything I've ever read.
They've fallen far from creating the quintessential 90's supercar.
When did Mitsubishi make the Viper? Or was it the Diablo they made?
>twin turbo
>AWD
>4 wheel steering
>electronically adjustable suspension
>sport/touring exhaust settings
>active aero
Nigga please.
>4000lbs
lol that wheel gap tho
Of glorious 90's supercar!
more like the kuso
Pigfat and slow.
The thing has no lightweight exotic materials to make it a reasonable weight for all it's technology.
Pretty much anyone would rather an Evolution and they sure as fuck aren't a supercar either
To match my VCR
What?? No lightweight exotic materials?? Holy shit I hate Mitsubishi now! You're right though, the Evolution sure as fuck isn't a supercar like the 3000GT. Not everyone is a wanna-be rally fuccboi.
I still like my Panasonics, but nice

I get it, it's your first favourite car from when you were 13. I'm not telling you to stop loving it.
You should recognise it's a piece of shit though.
>tfw my favourite car from when I was that old was the LanEvo
>active yaw control... hhnnggg
I sure as hell wouldn't, if only because I wouldn't count on them being around in the future (for warranty/parts). They seem like a business winding down.

Fun fact:
During WWII, What became Subaru (Nakajima Aircraft Co.) built roughly half of all Mitsubishi Zeros under a joint contract.
You can see in pic related a Subaru built Zero...notice the head-gasket leak.
>competing Zeros in the sky
>competing Lancer and Impreza on the gravel
Just how long has this rivalry been going for?
Many decades of honorable rivalry user-kun.
>tfw no Mitsubishi limo
Outlander is a heck of deal for those people who just want an SUV for the space and literally do not care about anything else.
I like the look and outdated as fuck interior of the lancer, and I think the mirage is cute.
>notice the head-gasket leak.
Mitsubishi outsells honda by over 200% in a real car market
maybe if they cared about america they would offer proper cars in your market. seems they are still stuck in pearl harbor mode
There's a lot be said about Mitsubishi and their American market, if's a very indecisive company that doesn't know what it wants to be for commuter cars, now with the loss of the evo, it has to compete with ecoboxes and SUVs, the mirage is goofy yet adorable, but it competes with so many other cars and doesn't hold up to them.
Yet they were very competitive in wrc and didn't push that edge to the normal market, the only people who gave a damn stayed in rally.
Maybe it's time for Mitsubishi to try something new.
HOW DARE YOU
>make cars enthusiasts love
>nobody buys them; enthusiasts would rather buy them used and/or complain that car doesn't have shitbox pricing, at least1488 kW 1488 Nm, weighs not more than 911kg, and with all the creature comforts, tech, and the performance of a super ultra hyper car. Also manual
>manufacturer loses money

Quote of the era about the Evo VI.
"This is a car which can swallow four adults and their luggage as effectively as any Ford Mondeo, yet one which can level with all but the fastest Ferraris in a straight line. A car that's as refined as a Nissan Primera on the motorway yet one that can out-corner and out-brake any product currently made by Lotus. Yet it's also a car that costs no more than a well specified, non M-badged BMW 3-series."
Well, there was still an homologation market behind post Group A STi and Evos in terms of Group N4.
Not all "rally" is global flagship stuff.
In terms of fullsize offroad SUVs, I still rate the current Pajero ahead of the rest bar the J200 Landcruiser, and even then I don't think the Cruiser is anywhere near as good as its price margin would indicate.
This is even taking into consideration the Paj platform is 16 years old now.
they still sell these new in germany, i guess mitsubishi thinks americans are too poor to afford them
Well Toyota gets away with selling the overpriced J200 there, so I think your theory just went out the window.
I'd put it down to the general US public being prejudiced towards the three diamond logo.
Why are americans so retarded with mitsus?
it's true. he's said all kinds of shit badmouthing anything not chinese. especially after his kid got arrested for weed
I have a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage as a daily driver. 45mpg during my commute to work. Around 31mpg driving in the city. Got it for $10.6k back in March with 31 miles on it. $12 to fill up. For what it is it's decent. I know haters gonna hate, " you could of bought something used that's better " but the 10 year 100k mile warranty is a bonus.
I actually think the mirage is a terrific car, does it have aftermarket support?
How's the handling
>got my almost fully loaded Spark for $15k flat OTD
You got the better deal
Theres a huge aftermarket for it in the Philippines. Intakes, header, exhaust, coilover suspension. There's even a one-off turbo kit that bumps up the power from 74 to 98.
The handling is well, non existent. It's tuned for third world countries. It's super softy, which is great in the city. It soaks up every bump. But any spirited driving isn't advised. Understeer and excessive body roll if pushed too hard. Seesaw effect on uneven roads. Upgrading the whiles help a bit, since the 14x4" OEM wheels are more at home on a ride on lawn mower than a car.
>turbo
>74 to 98
Are you sure that's not an alternator?
what the fuck am i supposed to do with 7 3b pencils?
When i was underage b& back in the long ago time I thought the Eclipse was the coolest car in the world
Sadly they were lemons even back then
And no I didn't choose a '99 randomly

HAHAHAHA, MITSU BLOWN THE FUCK OUT
SUBARU WINS ONCE AGAIN
The best Japanese fighter was still inferior to the GM counterpart
Absolute kek
Apart from the turbos, none of those things are the hallmarks of 90s supercars. Sure, there were a handful of sportscars with AWS or AWD, but the supercars of the time were the Diablo, F355 and F50, McLaren F1, Viper, Esprit, Shamal, etc.
Draw and shit?

My fault. It's actually supercharged. The kit comes out to be around $4k USD.

If you think that or anything else they made is even close to the most beautiful car than you should unironically kill your self
What has mitsubishi not made?
>he likes a car I dont like
>user must kill self
Nothing new here.
You must be a fun person to talk to about cars.
Also:
>Not liking any GTO
If anything you should Commit suicide
Not just 'like' but said was the most beautiful car money can buy. You cannot justify such a ludicrous assertion.
>Not everyone is a wanna-be rally fuccboi
Then what the fuck are you doing in a Mitsu thread?
Mitsubishi's S-AWC is pretty advanced. Real torque vectoring and not just braking the spinning wheel to fake a limited-slip differential.
I'd compare it to higher-end AWD systems like quattro, SH-AWD, Subaru's AWD, or xDrive. Not the weak and incapable AWD systems found in most crossovers.
There's a large metal plate blocking airflow to something.
Driven one and i want to die quickly. Might as well just get a yaris, mazda 2 or jazz. Op' s point still stands
Are you implying that I'm underage because I like spartan interiors on econo shit boxes. Or because uninformed soccer moms buy FWD SUV's because they're cheap?
Just when Im kinda starting to consider buying a 3000GT, they look like nice cars
NYS 2 plate law is just horrible, you Cant put it in the dashboard because you get a $75 dollar ticket every single time.
And drilling the bumper is just cruel...
