I didn't have them yet, I gutted pretty much everything in the house and the little details came last. I still have molding and stuff to put up in some places, I only started staying here (most of the time) a few weeks ago.

But of course I set my computer up the day I had internet, because priorities.

Work all weekend, gonna hit the local caffeine and exotics before work on Sunday. Granted some of the cars will show up at work later anyways but still.

After building my rig over the course of a week I unplugged every glowing and blinking light. Even unsoldered the disk drive led.

I couldn't stand the light pollution when I didn't want it.

It's not really set up for that desu. Couch on one side of the room, recliner on the other, and a sliding door on the back wall across from the TV. It's more for when people are over, I'd rather watch stuff at my computer. And I suspect most listening I'll be doing will be from the adjacent room (kitchen), so angling the speakers won't get me much anyway.

You don't really notice them actually. The case lights and other lights are behind you when you're sitting down, so it's only the "underglow" that you can see. But even that you need to look at the floor to notice. There's actually some practicality to it too, the floor is illuminated just enough to see where you're going when you get up.

I blocked out the important stuff, at least to me. 100% blackout shades and I covered the "gaps" between the monitors, so there's no extra light in front of you.
