Anyone ever have had there car totaled by a flood? Cause i kind of drove into some high water. I have full coverage am i screwed?

I'm sorry for ur loss my nigger. unfortunately i have no idea

There's a story about a guy whose subaru lived at the bottom of a flooded parking lot and all he had to was replace the fluids, clean the thing out, and change the battery when he finally got it out a few months later and it started on the first try.

If you hydrolocked it you're boned

>hydrolocked
Im fucked then aren't i?

You probably blew up your engine.

Am i still covered that you know of? Cause i aint got the money to fix shit.

Yeah and it fucking sucks.

Full coverage *should* cover the water damage under comprehensive.

Better hope you have gap coverage if you owe anything though.

I have gap. But they do cover me even if i drove into it. Cause if not i going to have to figure something out. Is a 09 Lancer

I had one repaired, new engine, new interior, etc. all done by a dealership. Came out to I think $11,000 in repairs.

The dealer never reported it to Carfax.

I traded the thing in 6 months later with a spotless report and got $2500 over KBB trade in value.

Lel

I still owe 6500 on my car. So you think they just total it? Im not looking to buy it back at this point.

It's totalled if the repair value is over (I think) 60-70% of the book value

So if it's worth less than 6500 and they total it you're fucked unless you have gap insurance

I think i do i have USAA. There site doesn't really give me any good answers.

if YOU drove into some high water, then your comprehensive should cover it as an accident
doesn't matter what ended up totaling the car, it matters who totaled it

Nigga call them. USAA is the ones that I have and went thru for that truck.

Cool but im still worried. Thanks guys.

This is why I always carry sandbags.

Good job OP, you wrecked your car in the most preventable way possible.

In the short term, your car is fucked because YOU DROVE IT INTO WATER AND IT SHUT DOWN.

In the long term, you're fucked because YOU DESTROYED YOUR CAR.
Insurance will cover it, but that will remain on your record for years. Enjoy your idiot tax.

I had a car get flooded, it wasn't totaled. It was a beater tho

water inside over the ass cushion of the bucket seats

It spent a good amount of time in the shop though

>oh no there'll be a flood
>better drive on top of my sandbags rather than to a higher elevated area

>another welfare queen who doesn't understand his insurance

Why do people drive through water? Stop being retarded.

This. Seriously fucking this.

Also,
>living anywhere where it floods.
>same as living anywhere where it snows
Stay cucked heavy rain and no fags. Enjoy your rusty cars and hydro locked engines

>not wanting to live where it snows
>not wanting the experience and pleasure of driving through unplowed roads at night illuminated by nothing but your car's headlights

That's fun until the snow starts drifting.
>oh no where is the road
>oh no where is the ditch
Snow is 10/10 driving conditions though.

>the feeling of driving through horrible snow conditions and actually not getting stuck

Just makes you appreciate your car more
