Your entire life.

Your constant 12v is wired wrong, it's usually the yellow.

>aftermarket radio
for what purpose?

Switch the red and yellow wires

true, thats why i'm on here, just like you billy no mates

cheers i'll have a look

old one was FUBAR

i'll swap them over, if this blows my car up i will not be best pleased.

job done, thanks.

Veeky Forums proves to be useful once more.

Wow, didn't think anyone from the old days posted anymore

I bet dead will be back any day

so replace it with an oem one. or a reman oem one that has an aux jack.

been a while but yeah i'm always lurking these days.
often forget to trip up, but i blame altzhiemers for that

nah, the cancer ate him, he is actually dead now.

nah, i'm happy with the Kenwood, i'll only have the car till it dies or overshoots its £1000 budget.

this also fixed my radio from resetting, mix red with yellow

Welcome to a few more mA of parasitic current draw in our ever increasing electronic burdened cars.

>having to use fader and balance with knobs + no equalizer in stock head unit
Absolutely moronic not to upgrade to aftermarket.

p.s. my car makes more boom than yours

This. One wire is dedicated to having a constant, non-switchable 12V source for retaining user settings. Conversely, make sure your ground wire is properly secured.

I'll take "I found the nigger" for $200 Alex.

Why didn't you get one with USB?
It's the current year man.

i actually wanted one that still played tapes, but they stopped making those around 20 years ago, i;m not fuckin happy about this.

>not wanting better sound quality with new speakers
>not wanting better control of sound with new head unit
>not wanting handsfree and bluetooth in his car
>not wanting higher quality output for higher deebeez with amplifier
>not wanting complete sound spectrum with subwoofer
What's up with you thinking only niggers like no loose ends? This is why the white man is cucked, settling for mediocrity wherever.

>NAH MAN MY CAR AUDIO WAS DESIGNED IN THE FACTORY BY ENGINEERS WHO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING I DON'T NEED ALL THAT
>IT SOUNDS JUST FINE
>JUST FINE I TELL YA

Wtf? Some people like listening to music when they drive. I know, strange idea for a fucking autistic neet like you

So?

Swapping yellow and red can have 2 effects.

Red yellow both on the wrong connector will result in your radio having a constant on the switch input and a switch on the constant input.

This results in your radio turning on when you turn on the ignition, but the next time you turn it on again it will have forgotten your set radio stations.

Both properly connected will result in the radio remembering set stations.
