Autist.

Wait, I meant namefag. And better yet I misspelled it too.

What are those wires hanging off the hood?

They hold the hood latch clasps. It's a safety feature so that they don't get lost.

Hood pin leashes

Thank you.

Is that a modded out Cuda?

...

Could you guys help me understand the appeal of these cars? Not trying to be a dick, but from my understanding they have similar steering and suspension to my grandma's 2001 Buick. How can they be fun to drive?

Floor it in a straight line and hear it roar.

Deep sounding slow loping engines make my dick rock hard.

Rumbling and roaring V8.

Muh dick

They're much more engaging to drive than your grandmas 01 fwd shitbox.

Does anyone on Veeky Forums actually drive a muscle car?

I'm saving up for one when I get out of the Navy. Pic very related.

Whoops, meant to post a GT500 not a GT350

love me some muscle but that rear fitment is horrid.

I like that Mad Max style boosting, but I wouldn't do it to my car desu.

Yeah, I got a 69 mustang I've been using as a DD. Finally finished cleaning up under the hood too. Will post pics

Sweet ride mang! What's under the hood, and where'd you get it at?

Previous pic is a bit old, it no longer has its vinyl top. Here's the original engine bay

Sorry 4 sideways pics. Phone formatting weird. I got it from my dad, he had in sitting in our garage for 20+ years. He said If I got it running I could have it. (I know how lucky I am lol). Anyways, here's new engine pic after paint, cleaning, and few repairs.

Damn, that's a beauty. What engine does she run?

not exactly a muscle car but it has a J-code 302 from a 1968 mustang

It's a Pikes Peak Hill Climb car that has run in the vintage class for some time now.

Almost exclusively the body styles and simpleness of them for me. Most can drive pretty nice with a few suspension and steering tweaks and a set of modern compound tires.

Small block 302. Was rebuilt right before storage so it has around 100 before rebuild and only 20k after

WHO ELSE HYPE FOR THIS EPISODE

Clarify?

Butifel user.

...

you mean the next roadkill is on a challenger ?
FOR REAL ?

...

...

...

Are you American user? Serious question.

is this car slow?

Shitloads of power, no nanny features.

Now imagine these things in a country with long straight highways.

>Camaro
Unless it's a V6, then no.

...

...

They were big engines put into relatively small cars at the time.

And contrary to what you believe most muscle cars were at the 3000lb mark but were putting out HP numbers that wouldn't be rivaled until about a decade ago.

Granted they handled like shit but in a straight line the were the quickest things you could buy at the time.

its all business under the hood

>V8
You bet your sweet ass that's a fast car.

...

...

It shouldn't be

He only buys the best :^)

What is a muscle car?

lmgtfy.com/?q=What is a muscle car?

they are not all American. pic related its a muscle car

Posting V6 muscle

>V6
>Muscle
pick one

If you'll look at the picture you'll have seen I picked both.

last time I saw this picture as the main pic it was a Moffaggot thread

all I see is an late 80's/ early 90's coupe

also nice double dubs

Thanks.
Thanks dickweed.

Hnnngggggg

>luxury sedans are muscle cars now
fuck off

Does that really look any bit 90's to you?

he's probably a gen z faggot who doesn't even know what the 90s looked like

How often does Veeky Forums have muscle car threads? This is the first time I've seen one.

Every once in a while

Never seen one here. Is it a night time thing here?

they tend to happen towards the weekends, because the people who post in them are crusty old wageslaves

>crusty old wageslaves
I'm 22 years old motherfucker.

Ive been wanting a Chrysler Valiant Charger for years now. Ive almost got enough money saved up too
>straight-6 engine making 300hp in race configuration
>modern builds of these engines can easily achieve 320-350RWHP N/A
>relative cheapness compared to Monaros or Falcon coupes
Im just worried about somehow damaging this sort of car in my ownership

>straight-6 engine
Please go with a V8.

but it is sexy

...

It's not a muscle car.

>can't even into crossflow
>side entry plugs
>"HEMI"
As an Ausfaggot, this thing leaves me ashamed.

but you're forgetting
>rivalling the competitions hp figures with 100cid less displacement and lighter engine

it's hard to properly define muscle cars without going into how and why they were conceived

just read up a bit on 60s/70s american automotive history

>rivalling the competitions hp figures with 100cid less displacement and lighter engine
It was 88ci short of the 5.8 at the time, and had ~100hp deficit. It's output wasn't as impressive as some would have you believe.

>Thanks, dickweed.

You'd've gotten more information faster by googling your question, shame you took offense.

one of my proudest boners

What is a good entry level muscle car, old or new, sub $5000 range. Reliable and ez to work on senpai plz

Reposting from obsolete thread

Fixed my rough idle yesterday, plug wires had split open on a few, goddam duralast gold wires were only 2 months old.

On a related note I can't for the life of me stop oil from dripping out of my valve cover grommet and onto my exhaust manifold. I put in new grommets and a new pcv valve and I have baffled valve covers. WHAT THE FUCK. should I just RTV the pcv valve to the grommet?

ford maverick
mercury comet
dusters

what brand and kind of valve cover?

Beats me man they were on there when I got them. Regular ass chrome valve covers with no marking on them, I used degreaser and a hose and cleaned up my bay real good to make sure it's not leaking from under the valve covers or anywhere else and sure enough it's just bubbling up from around the pcv valve grommet

That's a mercury Cyclone is it not?

Fucking nostalgia fags itt. """""Muscle""""" cars are less fun, stylish, and efficient that even the most basic econobox.
