Show me some cool ass RVs

Show me some cool ass RVs.

Why do RV interiors look like they were designed by the same people who design casinos?

Pop a row of slot machines in there and they would look 100% at home.

Probably because it's same philosophy. Packing as much as you can, as ergonomically as you can, into the smallest space possible.

What kinda mpg's do modern RV'S get? Do they have giant tanks to make up?

Is it feasable to live in an Rv for the rest of your life and basically travel and survive?

Depends on the size. Anywhere from 10 to 20 normally.

It'd be more economical to just go van mode in a Vandura or Econoline.

Economical? Yes. Comfy? Not as much.

It is what you make it.

With a 4G hotspot like a MiFi or something, it's perfectly fine.

You can put anything you'd need inside an old cargo van nicely if you put enough work into it. The issue you'd have with an RV is both money and parking. You can't plop those things down just anywhere, you know.

What should I know about owning a trailer or rv as an alternative to home ownership? How do I find places to keep it and what features should I be looking for?

>how do I find places to keep it
You need a house with a reasonable amount of property attached. On the road you will likely have to sleep at truck stops or camp grounds that can accommodate such a large vehicle.
>what features should I be looking for
Whatever the fuck you want. D'uh.

I'm planning on getting a small cheap camping trailer for a couple days fishing/hunting trips. Maybe going south to LA once a while. Would $3k get me anything decent?

Depends on the size, but if you're planning on living alone (or with just your significant other), yes

Problem with these vans is that you are going to get too depenent on business establishment for for basically your everyday need; food, water, shower and latrine-related activities.

That's how the homeless living their lives at walmart/dollar store parking lots. I've nothing against them but you should find a more dignified way to live on the road

I am personally a huge sucker for vintage yuro RV converted buses

Here's our hunk of crap adventure rv. Me and my friends paid $700 for it and had to fix basically everything and paint it

wow i wish i had friends

tfwyktf

moar pics and what's been fixed?

Because RVs and casinos are both designed primarily for the elderly

>Casinos are densely packed due to space constraints
What?

Gotta agree with this, a van really is plenty of space for a single person, and since we're on Veeky Forums i assume that aplies to all here. A van with some extra batteries has no problem running a small fridge, and you can rune camping propane stoves to cook. A weeks worth of water in gallon jugs doesn't take much space. Only real issue vs an RV is the bathroom/shower situation, and the much better parking situation offsets this imo

Nice, got any interior pics?
