Veeky Forums finds you a car: Shitshow edition!

Lets play a game Veeky Forums

Let's use the power of collective thinking to find each other cars based on a few criteria.

List:

1. What type of car you would like, be as specific or as vague as you want.

2. What your price range is

3. Your craigslist area (SFBay for example if you live in SF)

4. Why you want the car, and what you would like to do with it.

Example (mine):

1. Something light and fun, preferably a manual RWD with 4 or 5 seats.

2. $5000~ max

3. Goldcountry (CA,USA)

4. I'm really into taking off for long drives when boredom sets in. I'd like something that I can just pick a road and drive down, and possibly take on longer road trips with friends in the future.

I understand that the sticky has most of the information that someone could want, but it should be /fun/ to see what people suggest.

Silly user, manuals are for 2 seaters.

That car's pretty sweet. Would buy off of craiglist

Fuck, that thing is a boat. I bet it does sweet brake stands

And here's mine:
>Maximum power potential, not FWD
>$2500
>SF Bay or Sac or immediately surrounding areas
>Stoplight racing against 600+ hp lifted diesel brodozers.

>fastback
>rwd
>I4
>2.0L or less displacement
>200hp or more
>japanese
Not even gonna bother posting my CL
Good luck

I don't think that car exists in the US, user. FR-S is the closest, but it's only 196 horsepower or some shit.

sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/5753785261.html

Don't splat yourself :)

Exactly.
Why live?
>flat 4
Junk

Why does it have to be 2.0L? Starion would fit the bill otherwise. Or a DSM if it can be AWD. Although come to think of it, I'm sure there's an SR20DET swapped S13 hatch for sale on Craigslist somewhere.

>Let's use the power of collective thinking
But isn't collective thinking merely the sum of all the individual's thoughts?

Sorry mitsubishi and nissan are absolute trash.
Especially starion and 240sx

OMG stop

sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/5767715949.html

Spend the other half of your budget making it how you want it.

That's the point you nonce.
We all put our opinions out there and collaborate by responding and reacting based on our own thoughts.

How about an A70 Supra or RX7 TII, then? They're not I4s and the 7M is a 3.0L, but they fit the bill apart from that. And the MR2 turbo is perfect except for the notch.

You near Grass Valley OP? Was just looking at houses up there a few weeks ago. You aren't going to fulfill your requirements with anything that isn't already broken or on the verge, this is all I could find
sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/5763400605.html

>99 horsepower

>Same power as the 4 cylinder

Are you guys even trying?

>bored out
>bbk headers
>same hp as 4 cylinder
lolno I'm sure it's already around 200hp at least, assuming it has only what is listed but it probably has more done to it and user will have $1200 left in his budget to put into it.

1. turbo, manual, not FWD, ideally not I4 because they sound boring
2. 90000yen/$9k max
3. Japan
4. daily driver, weekend touge warrior

I have a car already, but I'm curious what Veeky Forums would suggest.

You're not in Japan, Faggot.

I actually am. But even if you don't believe me, you can still play along.

Also that should have been
>900000yen

Fuck off

1. Manual, FWD, Sporty.
2. Max 12K Loony
3.Nova Scotia, Canada
4. Daily work drive with lots of weekend driving.

Why are you so angry?

>FWD
>Sporty
What?

Sorry mate meant to type AWD
It is infact one in the night.

RX& is unreliable shit also. Basically only the Toyotas are good.

How hard is it to import cars the wrong direction?

maine.craigslist.org/cto/5739825842.html

Sporty and AWD means WRX, right?
maine.craigslist.org/cto/5740801960.html

Why did you ask for a Japanese car if all you wanted was a Toyota?

I was considering a 2001 WRX or a 2005 Lancer Evo

That wasnt the original guy. Hes just a shit poster

Old shape
plastic bumpers
bogan
single pegger
jap motor
3 grand

Can't find shit in AUS on craigslist. Sorry m8

About to sell my Altima.

Fun, Fast, Luxury, Under 80k Miles
$15-19,000

>g37 only option I can think of. Fuck bmw

They use gumtree or some shit.

Some type of Honda, Toyota, VW, or Acura shitbox
$3000 Max
Los Angeles, CA
I need a car

>austin.craigslist.org/
Hyundai Genesis with a bunch of options would fit the bill but
>hyundai

Ill look into it. The Genesis reminds me more of a super sporty car, Im looking for a fun luxury.

>Jap sports car

>Preferrably '95 or later, unless kept in good condition

>Safe

>$10,000 budget

>Manual

>Safe

>Can have roll cage installed without much hassle

>Preferrably in NY State

They're pretty similar to the g37 as far as I know.

Mazda rx8
Nissan 350z
Infiniti g35
For some looking you can find Honda 2000
Mazda Miata
Bugeye Wrx
Toyota MR2... Nvm you said safe

Define 'safe', please. Is this code for "not a Miata"?

Genesis Coupe is a 370Z/Mustang V6 competitor
Genesis (3.8 sedan) is a G37/Lexus IS competitor
Genesis 5.0 is a Lexus LS/Mercedes E Class competitor

Yeh gumtree is basically our Craigslist

It's code for "not a tiny nip car that will deform rapidly in a 27 mph collision and possibly leave you an unrecognizable corpse in said accident"

The 5.0 sounded amazing so I looked it up. Haha thats like twice my budget, fuck. I might do some 3.8 test driving soon, who knows :)

>any kind of manual rwd/awd sports car, at least 200 hp
>$6k max
>Orlando
>drive it and have fun

for 6k you can get a turbo miata. Best fun

I need an automatic car. As much as it pains me, I'll probably need to settle for FWD. If there's a good RWD car, go ahead and suggest it anyway. Can be a sedan, coupe, hatch, wagon, or small SUV. I do require it to be reliable, as I'll be DDing this for the next few years in all manner of Kansas weather. I'd also like it if it weren't gutless. Something that won't have an asthma attack if I press down on the accelerator.

My absolute maximum is $2500. I live in the Topeka metro area, but I'll be willing to hitch a ride to SURROUNDING towns if necessary.

This is going to be my first car. I'll mainly be driving it to work and university. Not expecting fun, I can't afford fun at this time. I just need it to hold together till Car 2 comes along.

Thanks in advance to anyone who submits a suggestion.
