My fun car (E36 M3) will probably get replaced by a R33 GTR/GC WRX STi/Evo 3 or maybe a FD RX7 in 6-7 years once they're legal in the USA and the hype dies down. Probably the R33 but fuck if a 2600-2700lb 300whp Turbo AWD car isn't appealing to me (GC STi/Evo 3)

Considering they were sold from 1992-2002 there and 1993-1995 here? I think the LHDs will keep appreciating, but the RHD ones coming in to increase numbers hopefully will keep their prices from going out of control.

2004 Saturn Ion Redline

Never have driven a stick shift before and I've been looking around craigslist for weeks trying to find something decent. Just a bunch of civics, old shit, and beat up pickup trucks under $5000. Yesterday I saw a redline ion for $3500 with less than 100k miles so I'm pretty excited to snatch it up if it runs well. I'll have to get my dad to test drive it before I buy it but at that price I really don't think I can go wrong. I figure I could have some fun with it until it goes belly up and I decide to buy a real sports car or a nicer, newer tuner. I think any manual would be more fun to drive than my current 2004 prius...

Also I've never seen a body like this. Suicide doors... the console in the center instead of on the left... pretty strange.

I have shifty rsx dd, thinking of importing a 180sx or r33 this spring but everyone seem's to think I should just get a newer dd. I wouldn't mind getting a decently fun newer dd but for my job I get in and out of my car 50 times a day, drive 200kms and live where they put two inches of salt on the ground in the winter. I just want a car I can keep mint and baby, just go for a cruise on the twisted a couple times a week in the summer.

Looking for a clean E36 328i, the cheapest sporty old RWD you can get around here which you can actually comfortably daily. Also, this is the last moment to get one, in few years the prices will go up.

Don't know if this applies but I'm gonna get these wheels and some brake pads that won't fade on the track. I've been toying with getting a plastic bumper E30, E36 (m3 if I can save up the dough), aw11, or S30 in a year or so.

Uhhh, no. You can get *a* RX-7 for cheaper but a nice one is still at least 1.5-2 million yen which is roughly $15-20k for a basic turbo model. A Type R or Bathurst in really good condition will be anywhere from 2-4.5 million yen.
