I'd pass the owner probably abused the shit out of it because "racecar"

I've always wanted one of these. Fuck, I'm gonna have to pay out the ass to find one that clean.

>not the wagon version
No

what's the most optimal used car for 3k-4k? i live kinda far from my college so i'm gonna be driving about 3 hours a day for the next 4 years so it needs to be reliable. preferably one that gets like 35+ mpg. right now i'm looking at honda civics, nissan altima/maxima, hyundai sonata, mazda 3, toyota corolla, etc.

i don't know shit about cars though. i'm from /g/

sd.craigslist.org/cto/5749742232.html

Geo metro has god tier gas mileage

in what area? mazda 3, corolla, and civic are your best bets.
mazda 3 is the most "luxurious" of the three
corolla is fucking bulletproof, if you can find a 2005 XRS with the 2ZZ then you'll have fun for years.
Not sure about the civic but it's a civic, avoid beaners and ricers?

rural north mississippi.

do these look ok?

No

black one is alright, could get away with $3000 because of the mileage. I've got an 04 myself in manual and it's pretty gr8

what's wrong with the other just for future reference?

salvaged title

oh ok i havent even been reading that shit on the side. i dont use craigslist much

salem.craigslist.org/cto/5755322620.html

From what I've read, a lot of common NA power tricks like intake/exhaust or ECU reflashes don't seem to do much for the 2JZ-GE. So most people who mod theirs either change just a few things or turbo it.

They never made the wagon in MT. Only came with AT.

Filter out everything except clean titles. That will help a lot.

Absurd price. I paid the same for a 90' 325is that had about 10k in aftermarkets done to it. Was also much cleaner.

Do you want an honest answer?

A 80s Mercedes diesel car.
If you don't abuse the trans, it will go forever.
The engine never breaks.
Diesel naturally gets better gas mileage.
You're driving 3 fucking hours, choosing anything but a luxury barge mobile beanbag is retarded.
They are cheap as a good night in Vegas so even if you break it, you can go buy another.

>10k aftermarket

thats why you paid that price u dolt.

an E30 will always be worth more stock

If it's in good shape, sure.

Youre in good shape senpai

Are these wheels ok? I don't know anything about them.

>(4) Rage 16x7" Aluminum Rims Wheels - $120
Set of four Rage aluminum 16x7 wheels with chrome finish. Multiple bolt pattern, fits the following:
4x100mm
5x100mm
4x114.3mm
5x114.3mm
Wheels are straight and in overall good condition with no curb rash. There is some light pitting/corrosion towards the back of the wheels where it's hard to clean and polish. One of the center caps is missing.

I've never heard of a wheel with that mix of bolt pattern

honestly if you're looking for a manual i'd go for something else, especially for 5 grand

How's this?

Why the hell are these so cheap? Maintenance must be expensive

sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/5782436271.html
I'm gonna get a vin check and if all goes well. I'll make an offer. How much is a fair price. I've got around 8k

i looked into these and they seem great.does this one look ok?

memphis.craigslist.org/cto/5784281206.html

how hard would it be to fix the ac, sunroof, and window?

Terrible idea for someone that doesn't want to be their own Mercedes mechanic.

OP, buy a 98-02 Corolla or Chevy Prizm for about $2k with 130-150k miles, keep it topped up with oil and leave the $1k to catch up on maintenance and wear items (tires, brakes).

5k for a Toyota mr2. Can I talk this guy down or is he on the money for this?

holy shit yes

>implying the Diesel engine will break

checked this out yesterday, it started on a jump but the radiator leaked like fuck. engine ran well and didnt have any knocks, suspension didnt have any wobble. also the rear seal needs to get replaced and it needs 4 new tires as it has a mismatching set

inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5761024877.html

kinda want to shoot the guy a lower offer today since im going to need to take it to a nearby mechanic immediately for the radiator just to get it home

Looking to get my first car. I have almost $2k, so that is my budget, but I prefer to keep $500. I want something small, economic, and agile. I am mostly looking for an EK hatch, or a late 90s Metro in good condition. Anything small and efficient is fine, but for now, no Miatas. AC is a must.

Is it worth it to get the Civic and use the remaining cash to get it fixed up by a shop? The Metro looks perfectly acceptable but it was originally a salvage title which has me hesitant.

Any input and advice would be lovely. Thanks Veeky Forums.

i thought it was impossible to make a supra ugly

Looking at getting something to make daily driving more fun. I don't have any problem saving up money, but I can only put away 200/week so it's slow going.

I have a reliable dd now that I can/have done repairs on, so I don't mind working on whatever I buy.

Opinion time: the Toyota is $2.5k, 1987, leaks a little oil, claims otherwise mechanically sound, stock engine.

The 240sx is 1991, no title, has the makings of a track car, needs exhaust work, whatever
>ka24de full exhaust injen intake
means. It's $950 though I'm sure I could get it for 800.

Currently have 800 put away, what do, Veeky Forums?
