If they remade Back to the Future

What car would you think is the ideal choice for the time machine?

What car would you think the studio would actually use?

A delorian

S12 or a Prelude with fat stinky loud pipes
Jdm marty boizssz

>ideal

A Hummer H2. It was a tacky icon of a bygone age that isnt even being made anymore, just like the Delorean was in 1985

>what they'll acutally use

Some faggy Tesla or something

Nuff sad

You stupid fuck, Delorean became an icon with the movie, not the other way around.

And icon of this shit would be the all-time cuckmobile Prius

A turd gen.

>What car would you think is the ideal choice for the time machine?
After Hillary becomes president due to women voters, movie studios might try making cheap remakes of movies using female power. So the remake of Back to the Future would have females in all main roles. It will have to be an automatic self driving and self parking car.

It can't be any worse than the porn video that required use of a f*ck capacitor. There had to be a lot of f*cking so that the f*ck capacitor could charge itself from all the emanated energy.

A tesla

Except they still make the Prius, and comparatively speaking with regard to the Hummer 2/3, it's reasonably successful.

But, based on your low brow response, I'm sure you still can't grasp a concept that loosely abstract. You just want to bash the Prius cuz it's what people do when they can't think of anything else with wheels to make fun of.

Fisker Karma

Model X, it even has the Falcon Wing doors.

Scion FR-S/BRZ/Gt 86 because they're slow and they are two seaters just like the delorean.

but the 86 twins are 2+2s

AE86, for that fat, juicy 2x meme tax

>BTTF remake

Why would anyone ever do that?

>Why would anyone ever do that?
Feminism aka Vagina Fascism

it's going to be a tesla model s

:(

didn't the director forbid it until he was dead? There is still peace in the universe until then.

For some reason I'm thinking lotus Elise

>director suddenly and mysteriously dies
>whoops guess what remake is happening! :)

>the professor is Tyler Perry dressed as Madea
>the main character is a bulldyke lesbo
so progressive

you know what, that's a much better answer than my Hummer H2. It would be the perfect time machine

>iconic 90's-early 00's sports car
>tons of style
>mechanically shit
>a running joke, but still respected in it's own right by car enthusiasts
>lay people think it just looks super cool and fast

It's the closest thing to what a Delorean was in the 80's

Definitely if the asians were to make a remake

Fun fact: Movies about time travel are banned in China.

This. Boarderline defunct brand, sold mostly in silver.

Ford GT

>carscoops.com/2015/10/study-looks-into-alternate-modern-back.html

>Well, a study published by Zuto.com says the most popular choice among those taking part was the Lotus Esprit, if they had to choose a car from the same era as the DeLorean. We can easily understand why, as it has a similar layout, angular 70s - 80s styling and a sporty low-slung stance.

>Next up was the Dodge Viper that was nearly just as popular. This car has already been the star of its own TV series where it has special powers so again we can see why it’d be popular – the first one also looked like nothing else when it was shown in 1992; it represented the “90s choice” in the study.

>The previous (2005 – 2007) Ford GT was chosen as the early 2000s most popular choice, but which one do you think they chose as the best modern day choice for the time machine?

>They really nailed it here, as the BMW i8 is probably the single most suitable car for that role, even if Toyota is pushing its own Mirai into that spotlight. There is obviously no contest between the two in this context.

>"Doc! You're telling me....you made a time machine....out of a Dodge Viper??"

>2005-2007
>early 2000s
Is user this Retarded

>"Doc! You're telling me....you made a time machine....out of a Dodge Viper?? What if it rains?"

>"Where we're going we don't need traction!"

>"Doc! You're telling me...you made a time machine....out of a Miata???"

>"Japanese reliability, Marty! Perfect for the future"

The studio would just use the most "futuristic" looking car we have now. Not sure what that is though.

i8 with LEDs where the blue accents are

jesus fuck, the reboots just write themselves

>"Tell me, future boy, who's the president in 2016?"
>"Donald Trump"
>"DONALD TRUMP!?"

Not even kidding, it would be a tesla, or a bmw I something.

>Travel back in time
>give a poor kid named Donald a small loan of a million dollars
>make America great gain

>rear mounted v6
>American designed, foreign built
>meme
>weird aero
>is actually disappointing in terms of numbers
>people think it's way better than it is

U right

the car would be the bmw i8

all other choices are retarded

Here's the problem: It needs to be a futuristic, rear engined piece of shit that nobody in their right mind would look at and say "that should be a time machine"

Therefore, I'm thinking nothing. There is no car made today that fits that bill. The movie will be made by progressives, and therefore it's going to be a tesla or a new prius because Fisker is too 1% and uses an evil corporate GM engine. It's going to go down just like Ghostbusters, and we're all going to be evil bigots who hate the climate and women.

>takes 15 minutes to get to 80 because it just does a burn out in place

Seconding that.

A Tesla makes the most sense. Its already electric. The Model X would work because of the wings, but the Model S would seem sporty.

But that thing cant hit 88 though

I don't think the movie can be remade, it's too much a product of its time. Hell, the time Marty would be going back to would be around when the originals were made and there hasn't been a major enough cultural shift to make that as alien to the new Marty as the 50's were to the original.

What's that car with the doors that collapse down

like the top half slides into the bottom half and the bottom half slides down into the chassis

...

>What car would you think is the ideal choice for the time machine?

delorian

>What car would you think the studio would actually use?

Whatever the car company who sponsored the movie told them to use.

What exposure did the DeLorean even have in the American motoring world prior to Back To The Future? Was it actually hailed as the savior of American sports cars and observed by everyone interested in cars like Tesla are now, or were they just one of many small makers of shoddy cars that just happened to gain fame through a movie?

I'd probably use a Tesla Roadster and make it a focal point that it needs so much energy for time travelling that one jump depletes the battery and that they need to scavenge electricity wherever they arrive just so they can get back.

The multi-material body of GT-R has a beneficial effect on the flux dispersal

BMW Z1

It's not a matter of if, but when. It WILL happen.

pt cruiser, chevy ssr,hhr or a i-miev if they want to go electric.
But with an afternoon and 500$ a delorean could do job.

...

Chevy Cruze

That's literally the exact same thing as what the DeLorean was, that makes it the perfect choice.

Im doing this based off the same year as the delorean in the movie

so heres the list

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Cars_introduced_in_1982

Porsche 944 or Ford Sierra woulda been cool

but realistically pic related is perfect

The Lotus Excel.

FR Coupe that comes with a 5 speed manual and an Inline 4.

Probably a Tesla once they finally go belly up, but that's a poor replacement. I would have said a Volt if it was actually capable of doing 88.

>What car would you think is the ideal choice for the time machine?
Twingo

>What car would you think the studio would actually use?
Tesla

Why not a z car?

The goal is to boost sales, not memes.

deloreans werent sold at a supercar price were they?

Not at first, but after the movie is another story...
(the 12 stood for 12 grand)
But memes and low supply do wonders with increasing prices.

neither can a Delorean
thats the point

They would probably use the Honda CRZ

My vote is a BRZ
>why not do it in style
>underpowered just like the DMC 12
>fairly late model
>2 seater
>affordable
>Odd/unique engine
>can barely outrun a VW bus full of Libyans
>low profile to slip through timestream

don't forget
>bulldyke lesbo actually fucks her mother since she can't get pregnant

what about a Fiero?

What's that car that looks like a delorean but is made by a different company?

A Tesla with all the touch screen bullshit ripped out.

bricklin

That's not terrible.

whichever american car company pays the most advertising money gets to pick the car i guess

I wish the pure electric meme would die.
If tesla was a properly designed extended range electric, I could forgive the economy build and luxury price.

I can't be the only fagg/o/t to have seen this

Probably a Tesla

Not because it would be my choice but the cultural choice is the same; an outsider car that wasn't mainstream with a certain ideal.

I couldn't think of another car with such weirdness now as the DeLorean back then

...

>Japan didn't take over the world in the 90s
I want the golden era we were all promised.

Because at the time the remake was made the Z SUV will be in production.

Also Doc would be black and Marty a fat lesbian.

bmw 8 series

What are you, fucking gay?

In his version Marty is a homosexual tennis instructor and Doc's daytime job is accountant

You're responding to spam.

hmm something modern, obscure, and american...

that's exactly what accountant would say

stop giving them ideas

I agree with ^ and I'm the guy who posted the "spam"

You're a fucking tool

Nowadays it would be whatever mass-market shitbox whose manufacturer offered the production company the biggest bribe to feature it.

This....this guy gets it

>Designed with inattentive owners in mind.

To be honest even as a guy I'd get one for a shitbox since Volvo made it for women (i.e to last despite being neglected).

This, actually. The fame that the DeLorean got would be too tempting for sponsors, and the money they would shill out for that would be too much for the movie to pass up.

Based on that, probably a GM product since they seem to be shameless with their product placement.

That front end..

>ohh, herro

Fucking this.
>everything modern is angry, has to make deep social commentary, and has lots of swearing
I'm so glad not everything is being rebooted. The hollyjews already fucked Ghostbusters.

>A car that tried to hard to be cool at the times
>Something that ended up more of a joke than anything else
>That something also isn't a common car either
>It would only gain popularity due to the movie itself

...How about the SSR?

>What car would you think the studio would actually use?
BMW i8. Literally the only sensible choice.

Fpbp

why are so many of you tards picking old shitboxes

But how would Doc Brown turn it into a time machine if he can't even get under the hood without going to a dealer?

Acura Integra Type R
Have to understeer off a particular hairpin cliff in a homegrown Japanese togay to activate time travel.
