Not too often you see now million dollar car parked on the road.

This is when traffic was interesting. From my town during the Lindbergh trial.

America used to look so comfy. What the fuck happened? This was the America I always wanted to move in to not the obese fake plastic burger trash we have now.

still exists, gotta move to medium sized cities

I have a bunch of old film photos my dad shot at 12hrs of Sebring, would Veeky Forums like me to post? there's probably photos of non race cars as well. I'll have to dig them up.

>You will never drive side-by-side with an enormous Electromotive Diesel SD60/SD70 in Burlington Northern livery as its engine vibrates through your car and into your chest

Why even live?

>trains not only running through the middle of residential neighborhoods, but also literally in the middle of the road
>they're cargo trains, not even passenger trains
American logic.

Hnnng all those delicious truck campers. Truck campers are underrated. Nowadays everybody's gotta have a house sized fifth wheel.

before there were automobiles, the only way to transport stuff on land long distance was by train. as commerce and the economy grew, people were drawn to those areas. towns grew around these economic hubs, and from that you have trains running through the middle of the town.

But there was more than enough time not to pave your roads on both sides of the train track or to move your train tracks away from the road once their importance declined.

>that bumpside
I am completely moist

most roads started as dirt horse paths on the infrastructure built by the rail road companies.

it is cheaper to just work with what you have than to design something completely new. whether or not it is "better" or "worse" doesn't really matter, only that it is.

>ae82 sedan
and is that a honda civic behind it?

>that cheeky late 90's Taurus in the corner

It was almost retro lmao

go ahead man

This scene reminds me of the start of Terminator 2... shortly before a nuke hits

It's weird to realize that most modern cars would run circles around all those posted in this thread. We've come a long way.

>yfw that picture is almost 20 years old.

25 years counts as eligible for a classic tag in most states.

...

Traffic jams never look good, no matter what year.

5 beetles in a single picture

>dat navy blue Impala
