Agricraft at least helps me in getting Nether Wart and Glowstone (with some help by Recurrent Complex Sky Temples), but I still need a Ghast Spawner working so that I can actually begin my mob system.

I'm a bit restricted by preventing Nether Portal creation, but at least it's something different.

No Mob Spawns In Trees or something like that, other than letting you blacklist certain blocks from mob spawning (including trees by default obviously), also lets you fuck around with mob spawning in general as well. I've made Blazes spawn naturally in my Nether after seeing how that faggot vazkii did it on 1.10 and it works well enough.

Not much, I dont know the base recipe for tracks but making 3 large tracks might cost like 3 iron, between 5 and 10 stacks. Being 7 the most close ones if the recipe for large tracks ic correct.

Okay, I'm seeing a lot of people complain about 1.10 and Forge. What exactly happened?

If I was able to run 25 mods in 1.7 on a potato, will I be able to run the same amount of mods in 1.10 on that same potato? I just want to play Minecraft on a new version, man.

Vanilla .10 is better than 1.7.
Modded .10 eats double the ram with a third part of the mods in any 1.7.10 mmodpack.

Ruins lets you spawn villagers with customized selling items. So you could make him sell tears and netherwarts for N emeralds or something.

An easier option might be to create a dungeon with a blaze/ghast spawner. Recurrent Complex could probably do something similar too if you'd rather work with a gui.

In general you're right, but specifically asking for a modder to come take someone else's feature is not "being inspired by" or "accidental parallel development", which are perfectly acceptable.

I just realized I might not have been born for autism walls. After making so many of them I've noticed how stressed I get over trying to organize everything perfectly by categories, and how painful it is to even think about the idea of getting one new item that doesn't fit, forcing me to bring the entire wall down to reorganize everything. The notion of not organizing anything is unacceptable as well even if I can use a request pipe or AE to access my stuff.

It's amazing. I use it instead of AE2 whenever I can. The best part is the + buttons on the request table - load up a recipe with NEI, then hit +, and it will pull all of the components from storage and craft them if necessary. AE2 has no substitute for that.

Nope. It won't request the crafting of any components of the recipe you loaded up using NEI.

For example, you want to craft an iron pickaxe, but you have no sticks in storage. Attempting to load the iron pickaxe recipe into a crafting terminal will only put three iron ingots into the grid - you have to manually request the sticks to be crafted.

In the request table, attempting to load the iron pickaxe recipe will fill the crafting grid with ghost items. Then, when you click +, it will request iron ingots from storage *and* request the crafting of the sticks, both of which will be sent to the request table's inventory.

Oh that's what you meant, that seems like a great feature, I wish AE2 had that.

So I stumbled upon a spider spawner while I was digging. How do I turn it into an efficient exp farm?
Please keep in mind I play vanilla only

Now after ONE week I'm bored. What the hell do I need to do for my third playthrough to ensure I don't use mods that trivialize things and quickly bore me?

Step one: make something like buildcraft the upper tech limit. None of this AE2 or ender quarry shit. No meme reactors, no MFR
Step two: impose a bunch of rules on yourself, like no item teleporting, or limited automation only
Step three: stop rushing things, and powerautisming to endgame, just chip away at projects
Step four: lern 2 aesthetic builds, and focus on integrating those into your projects

Remove mods that trivialize any solution. Add mods that require problem-solving.

See AE2 as an example: it trivializes any storage solution you'd ever need into a "you don't need to think to set this up, just grind a bit more". Compare it with any modular system you'd make in its place, with a single or multiple mods.
