Give me one good reason not to buy a Suzuki SV650

THAT'S NOT A SHRIMP IT'S AN AMMONITE REEEEEEEE

it a faget bike

>tfw no motocthulu

the er6n exist.
the exhaust sound like some cheap no-name dishwasher.
15 years old design.

but do waste your money on that bike, I don't give a fuck anyway

Do you faggots greet other motorcyclists and how?

With a wave?

The second gen SV650 looks great, not him but I intend to buy it.
Why do you think the ER6N is better?
It will be my first bike, by the way.

...

Wheelies

>15 years old design
these are always the best bikes though
KLR
XR
DR
SR
etc

You throw out that peace sign to show how many parts you lost already.

is this a good ROAD suit ? or is it track only ?

...

Any other way makes you a tremendous faggot. The only exception is if you're using your left hand, then a nod is acceptable.

>er6n
Absolute crap bike. Shitty abs, gutless parallel twin, ugly as shit and shoddy kawasaki build quality.

I'd recommend the Fazer, it's objectively the superior bike.

>spaghetti all over the road
Back to school.
Yeah, that's what I read about but I've never seen you americans make it so I asked.

>I wasted my money on a SV650 : the post.

next time try the non LAMS Er6n.
Or look up any dyno chart

er6 is dogshite
ugly, p2
they are ubiquitous in riding schools tho, so plenty of cages if you're as good as the average american

SHIVVY UBER ALLES
>best starter bike
>best woolie machine
>torks
>reliability
>aftermarket

Do you ride a supersport?

If not then the suit isn't going to be bent for your riding position so no.

>first things he talks about are looks and exhaust sound
>avoids calling it a ninja 650 and alerting everyone that it's crap

lel

>non LAMS
Aussie please go, I thought all of you were at the Oktoberfest anyways

american here
i get super tired of doing "the wave" to other bikes.
Just let me ride in peace faggots!!

How cheap is a used Shiver?
I'm Italian.
I could find used SV650 for about 2000.

Buying a CBR300R tomorrow as my first bike after having tested like 10 bikes, yamaha r3, ninja 300, some supermoto, er6n, sv650, mt-07 etc.

Figured I just want a unified suit instead of a jacket and a pant.

double that if "needs repairs"
triple that for a mint one
>paradossalmente le depo costano di più

It does get tedious sometimes.

Like on nice days, when every retired fuck on a Goldwing is flagging you down and you're just trying to get to work to pay their pensions.

Mate you buy such a shitty beginner bike, and then you dish out 2200 American mark for a track suit?

track only. The orbiter, SP1, motegi, gp pro, gp tech and atem are better choices if you want a weekend suit.

List your top 3 favourite and your number 1 most disliked makes of Bikes

Be honest

>>best starter bike
>>best woolie machine
>>torks
>>reliability
>>aftermarket
>not TT600

does anyone here speak polish more than the word KURWA?
I may be about to buy an exhaust from polish underground exhaust producing scene
but need an ABE or TÜV :^(

can shrimp woolie?

Why is it shitty? how many bikes have you owned? And please show proof of owner ship of said bikes.

Why buy an ugly sv and have a hard time selling it in a year when you want to upgrade to a bike you really want?

So am i not supposed to take this off?

Ah yes, the typical defensive "I have been found out" dbt response

although, full disclosure
near me i couldn't find any sv that hadn't been trashed by beginners, if i found one i'd have probably gotten that
>the shivvy was 4k, 20000km second gen, pre depo and got a puig windscreen for free

listen here, fag the sv is cherished as a very capable bike, it's like the miata of dbt, but without the faggottry
a cbr300 is nothing to be proud about, but the sv an last you for a lifetime

Thats alot of parts you lost there man.
I always wave just some people dont notice or are too much of a bitch to take a hand off. Its usually they dont notice or dont care.

First 2-piece leather suit. Excited! How'd I do?

>I'd recommend the Fazer
Which one?
>double that for a bike that needs repairs
I think I'll stick with the SV650.
Why do you all call the SV "ugly"? I don't think it looks too bad, especially the second gen one.
Does this look bad to you?

I'm not a poor slav like you, money isn't an issue.
I choose this bike to avoid killing myself on it
Could buy a H2.. or even 3 of them, but this is the bike I feeled suited me the best to learn on.

Nice phone chubster

I took mine off, fuck the police

but the er6 and ninja 650 aren't the same model

>Which one
The 2004-2007 (I think) version with 98 hp and no ABS.

>implying it's not

kurwa mać

Haha people like you will even manage to run wide into a corner on a glorified scooter and get rekt by a lorry in the oncoming lane, I've seen it often enough

nope, you're not supposed to
we don't have this in EU, just the label inside
but we do have to have reflective stickers on all four sides in france which is the absolute worst

Ok so I gotta ask.
Why the Honda over the ones you listed, especially the ones with more than 300 cc of displacement.

fug

Sorry bro but money is no substitute for skill, ya know

because he didn't ride them for more than 10 minutes
the MT07 is probably the best beginner bike available new right now, although I haven't ridden the new SV650

He fell for the meme, obviously

>KTM
>Aprilia
>Triumph
diskliked:
>new BMW

easily

what do you guys use for theft protection?
i have to buy a certified one for my insurance to cover me, so it's at least 40€ over here. so i want to make a good decision

I don't know if I should get
disc lock
>tiny and light
>but i've read they're easily defeated
chain
>fuckhuge
>but you can anchor the bike to something
one of those metal Us
>kind of in between I guess

>i4 for a first bike
>I think I'll stick with the SV650
well, that's just what you get into if you buy italian
>says the poofta with the 300
>the whopping 2 hp of difference
afaik er6 (f or n) are the euro models, restricted, the ninja 650 is the american name to fool idiots into thinking it's like a 636

buy a superlegga then fgt. The fact that you even mentioned H2 instead of the H2R or any of the 60k bikes means that you're full of shit and that anybody here could buy you out and have money left over.

>diskliked:
>>new BMW
you don't like the r nine t and s1000rr?

riding a bike that no one wants to steal
and can't get started in under 5 minutes
ayy

I thought buying Italian in Italy would have been a little bit cheaper.

I don't live in a third world country like the US

no the ninja 650 exists here too, it's not the same as an er6f
there is more to a bike than an engine, you know

also
>i4 for a first bike
what the fuck are you even trying to imply?

Ah yes, the H2R, that amazing road bike. For the road.

neither do i

i guess nobody would steal my shitbike, but it's just for peace of mind i suppose

that v2s make me wet

Yeah I actually just bought an FZ07 after looking at a CB300F and I'm not sure why anyone would ever pay more than maybe a grand for the 300.

Pic related, it's my parking space

Just make your bike into a cafe racer and scrape it up a bit

Nobody will ever want to steal it

>implying dirtbikes aren't a thief favorite

once it's yours you don't have to take it out onto the road. just junk the plates and keep it to the trails.

Its a kick start with a kill switch hidden. Would be able to go out an deter them by the time they figure it out.

that's. .. exactly what I said ? that's why I choose a smaller cc bike.

I mentioned the h2 because the h2r isn't road legal, and it's my first fucking bike ?

MT-07 way to powerfull for now, was my second choice, probably buying it when I feel ready and giving the CBR300R to my wife as her first bike

sure ok, but that doesn't make an i4 bad for a first bike

they could just put it in a van though, which is how most bike thefts happen

very nice choice of vehicles.

>MT-07 way to powerfull for now
it's really, really not.

Can you just attach aftermarket speedos to the speedometer cable and have them just werk, or do you need to get a new screw and everything?

my bike is fucked so i pretty much need to make it into a "streetfighter", J&P cycles sells most of the needed parts for about the cost of one fairing and some paint

>sure ok, but that doesn't make an i4 bad for a first bike
i'm arguing that v2s make for better roadbikes, though
and for a beginner the linear torque is really helpful

Oh if im going anywhere for a while I bring my krytonite lock and also have a disk lock and cover for home. If they have a van and and angle grinder your bike is gone but that is a big signature to not notice them cutting and hauling a bike in a van or truck.

>dirt bike
it's a dual sport, user.
and i don't live near the wild out wheelie boyz or other coons (aka not living in America)
nobody steals bikes here.
this truu

>MT-07 way to powerfull
Well you basically fucked yourself with that statement mate

No I don't Tbh
I'd rather have a R100 and a RSV4

squiddy?
just go on your local junkyard and look for other shitbikes

>and for a beginner the linear torque is really helpful
yeah see that's the point, look at the dyno curve for an sv650 and a fazer and you won't see much difference in shape

My rule of thumb for bikes is if you can afford to replace it get normal coverage on insurance if you cant replace the bike if its lost or stolen then full coverage will ease your mind in the long run.

yeah but if you just have a disc lock there's nothing stopping them from taking it

fair enough

You do know what a krytonite lock is right? Its ether thick cables or hardened chain with pretty damn good locks. The pit bull disk lock stops niggas from rolling the bike away easy. The other stops them from moving it a foot. Also covering your bike stops people from knowing whats under it.

Get the D-Air Mugello for the airbags :^)

what if i'm talking about neither

yes yes i was just saying that for myself
i wanted to get a disc lock

No

I'm going to end up needing

>fork brace and brace-mounted fender (mounting tabs on forks wrecked along with fender), unlikely to find this in a salvage yard
>fork mount windshield
>speedo, tach, and idiot light for low oil level/pressure at the least, stock gauge cluster is huge, could accomplish the latter with a red LED
>fork mounted light, stock one attaches to front fairing
>or wait for a compatible bike with a good front end to show up in a salvage yard and get to the fairing and forks (if straight) before everyone else

it'd help if you posted bike
fork braces aren't really a thing since the 90's
unless you have an Harley, i guess

>not taking a benadryl and introducing the front end of a ninja 500 to a pickup

if the braces fit on the lower fork bits and the forks are still straight, it beats buying new forks.

Guys I need helppppp

I bought this 02 yz250F for $500 with a cracked gas tank and "carb issues" as it wouldn't start. Kid didnt want to do any work on it and wanted a sport bike. Turns out the carb is premo but I'm getting NO SPARK. Cleaned all the connectors and grounds, still no spark. Any idea where I should start?

This is my first time dealing with a no spark issue.

Yah would say get a krytonite before a pit bull disc lock or any of the others. Will be able to lock it up to something usually but if its a street bike disc lock basically will do with a ignition haha. Not to many guys have a van and a the skill to be able to do what you are saying witout anyone noticing unless its alone at night.

The coil
Or ignition stuff

Stator

that's actually the most common way bikes are stolen, by far

wassup everybody

WASSUP SQUIDDY
IS MOTOBIKE DED?

haha im sorry but where I live its degenerates rolling them away and riding off and have yet to see a van do it besides tow trucks that used to steal cars for the chop shop. Just have been around people that would steal bikes and not to many of them were using vans and trucks to throw bikes in. Usually just pick a bike thats easy to grab go up to it roll off an ride away.

You sound like an upstanding member of society
Fyi your forks could be bent parallel, The brace won't save you there

I had a really nasty cold and had to go get a new muffler for my car, since it's illegal to drive without one

I'm going to have the forks examiend by a shop to see if they're not fucked, but riding around they seem fine

bike is kill

track protection is shit on the road

Let's go down this rabbit hole together dbt
