now if i tidy up all the cables and run them in the frame, move a few electrical components inboard i'm left with this as a starting point

Maybe go for a Mad Max kind of look. I'm more of an OEM scooter guy but if I did a custom twistngo I would try and make it look really off road capable, nice a Ruckus but metal panels in army green.

That would be dank. Superchargers are normally easier with cars, but if you are stripping the whole scoot at least you have plenty of room to play around with a cheap turbo and piping. And not like you need to intercool it if you don't run much pressure. But even if you did an air-air intercooler you don't have to work around the panels.
With that skinny steering column or whatever, find a longer intercooler and mount it vertically right on front.
i actually may have one i bought a while back somewhere in the shed, if memory serves it was 400mm x 100mm x 20mm. (15" x 6" x 3/4")
i bought it for TDi i was working on and dont think i ever fitted it.

Tarbo on 125cc has less thrust than one of those things to dry your hair.
