Why not just buy a Camaro and pretend?
Why not just buy a Volvo 240 and not have to pretend?
Well played, user.
OT 64 the best military vehicle of all time
I always wanted to get a tank and try and tune it for speed. Engine swap to something else, strip down a bit of the armor, that sort of thing.
>not BRDM-2 with a comfyized interior
>tfw no amphibious whitewalls
Nothing with wheels is best at anything but getting stuck in soft ground, rollovers, and dying in combat.
.50 BMG would turn that armored truck into Swiss cheese. (Note door thickness) No bar armor means RPG bait too. When wheeled vehicles are heavy enough to seriously protect crews their off-road mobility turns to shit.
or if you are on a budget, this landy
That's not a tank.
Pic related is a tank, DD-able, with an I6 engine. makes 70MPH stock, and the early models can be tuned to hit 100, allegedly.

Tell me why nobody gets this?
Aluminium armour, nope not a REAL tank
I want to like it but it looks like a fucked-up BTR-60.
>making a tasteless mockery of socialist engineering
Khrushchev didn't die for this.
you have to deal with the ATF's bullshit to import military hardware, few people know how to and even fewer will do it for you.
>not wanting to conduct your shady predatory dealings from the comfort of your amphibious 4x4's tailor made interior
fucking plebian

you're one to talk, I bet it doesn't even have a turret
is it possible to gear a tank so that each track can move at a different rate?
imblying
user, that's how tanks turn.
>western style turret
>cushy soft interior
wew lad, if you can't appreciate OG slav tech then why even get a BRDM? Just get a nicer Western alternative instead.
i meant while moving.

user, that's how tanks turn.
Lol wut
Why not just build a tank then?
Most tanks armor is giant blocks of bolted and welded steel. Removing almost any of it would require multiple people and a crane.
As for the engine you wouldn't be able to find a compatible engine unless you built it. Most tanks have purpose built custom fit engines for the chassis.
It's not like a car where you can for the most part just swap some shit out and be g2g. There aren't really anything else built designed with 500+ HP designed to move a 15 ton vehicle.
You'd be much better off building something with already existing parts.
