bolt actions speak louder than pigs

>people actually thinks this looks better than civ 6

It looks like he's touching invisible tits

>start game as Russia
>in the middle of the desert

uh

well at least you didn't get a bunch of worthless tundra

>Bonus/lux near capital has culture, science or faith instead of food or Cogs
Reroll map
>No plains hill within 1 tile
Reroll map
>No Wooded hills workable at turn 1
Reroll map
>No 12+ hill petra to settle on within 10 turns spotted
Reroll map

Anyone else do this?

How do I get good at the Forgotten? I keep getting attacked and their base units suck.

i'm not mentally ill

>Using both IBS Balance and New Ship Classes & More.
Isn't that completely redundant, if not absolutely incompatible?

Do you use any mods beside the ones you listed? I was looking for some overhaul like Alphamod, or something that at least allows me to properly colonize/terraform and adds more variety in tech/infrastructure.

I was also looking for mods compatible with Megastructures

>field cannon with range 2 upgrades to machine gun with range 1

I had no idea Stellaris had humanoid elves you can play as now.

Is Stellaris good yet?

Yes

I think the intention is that the time for war is over, and industrial era is about industry

Did you not play Civ 5
>crossbow with 3 range upgrade into a machine gun with 1 range

i dont know, the new ship classes mod doesnt state that it rebalances anything so i added the doomsday balance patch, my game runs fine and ai uses tech from both mods
the ones i listed are the only mods i use, check stellaris.smods.ru/ for more mods you might like if you are using a pirated copy

anyone managed a religious victory on deity (not duel) yet? i seriously don't think you can if there's too many religious civs

i am not fond of rerolls

For what purpose? Seriously, it's like you find grinding your face against asphalt fun.

>industrial era is about industry
Holy shit, this game's writing is fantastically deep.

No, but I use the first 10 turns to scout around with the settler and warrior, then reload on first turn.

insert dilbert quote here

I will only ever reroll if it looks like my map is legitimately unwinnable like being put in the corner of the world where tundra surrounds me for days or it just looks unfun to play like being put on a small island that isn't connected to anything by shallow water

pride

Anyone figure out how border growth works yet?

>China sends a spy and it immediately gets killed in action
>Ignore it since the problem fixed itself
>Another Chinese spy sneaks into my city and is immediately caught and imprisoned
>"Qin, by man. Stop spying on me, you punk bitch."
>He agrees that it was a bitch move and promises not to do it again
>Set his spy free in exchange for some gold and dyes
>Next turn that same spy gets caught infiltrating the same city

>Pride
>n.
>A sense of one's own proper dignity or value; self-respect.

no but seriously

aint this some shit, they are jumping into my star systems and they have no space within my reach
time to bunker down at the capital and fill it with millitary stations

from what i can tell from the xml, same as v

you just don't get any fucking culture

>Finally build enough fleets to start fighting back against the unbidden
>engage 2 enemy fleets
>wipe them
>100% casualties for my corvettes

Are you supposed to stop building corvettes late game? I'm not losing any other ships unless I get flanked by another fleet. My last fight against the unbidden I lost nearly 150 corvettes, 12 destroyers, 0 cruisers and 5 battleships. They've all got the speed boost module too.

As deep as the mines where pigs write about cheese.

Cannon fodder.
Better to loose 150 corvettes then to have your good ships wiped. Those battleship loses were harsh though.

No idea, but I wish my coastal towns would expand the border towards the coastal resources.

>coastal towns

look at me
I'm the barb now

It's my fetish! Don't shame me!

IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUILD DISTRICTS ON TUNDRA

PLS RESPOND

you're shaming yourself

Is it worth getting the deluxe steam edition of civ 6 or just the regular version?

They do, after they expanded towards the land masses, and after completing the first circle.

Why is religious victory so easy?

yes, you can also build on snow.

Okay. So wonders too? You don't have to be Russia or anything weird like that?

wonders too

Sid.Meiers.Civilization.VI.Proper-RELOADED

>game starts
>a barb cavalry camp spawns next to me

Welp, time to try a new map.

Is tourism the hardest victory condition? I haven't been able to clinch that victory yet and feel like I'm doing something wrong

Thank you based user have a nice day

Wonders too, unless the wonder has another requirement. (Like Pyramids have to be built on flat useless desert)

>Not just murdering the barb ponies with your slingers and warrior.

Depends on who you play as. Film studios make it very easy.

FFS they went and made game unlaunchable w/o logo.bk holy fuck why even..
Here comes de blank

same happens without any of the bik files

>play sumeria
>victoria sends me delegation
>muh agenda makes her friendly because we share the continent
>decleration of friendship
>yay i have a qt waifu :3c
>explore her borders with my scout
>she has a shit ton of warriors near her borders
>i....it's probably nothing
>she settles birmingham RIGHT NEXT TO MY CAPITAL
>victoria why ;________;
>SURPRISE DECLARATION OF WAR
>proceeds to lose all her units to my 4 archers and city walls
>desparately wants peace now but I want more promotions for my archers

I'll have to end her, won't I? She'll never learn....

a rabid dog must be put down

I can't fathom logic behind this. On plus side - it turns out that annoying delay that made me turn off leader animations is in there too.

late game the AI will give you outrageous amounts of gold to settle peace with them

Just set it to a duel map and just have it be you and Kongo, easy win

If it's anything like Cathy from CiV, you can just throw her in the sex dungeon once you're done with her.

>not duel
>set it to duel

thanks m8 your thoughts will be given due consideration

what do luxury resources do
are dupes useful

System scale, please

Why is Sikhism one of the default religions? Isn't it mostly just practiced in India, and even then only by a minority?

cause they got cool ass lookin hats

Meme first world status from hipsters and enlightened women, innit

Two times as many followers as Judaism apparently.

At least some civs default to Judaism. Do any default to Sikhism?

more important question, why did they get rid of judaism

Any way to stop Civ 6 trying to run at frame rates my monitor isn't capable of? It's needlessly taxing on the gpu and I'm autistic about muh temps

I do this but only when I'm trying to achieve specific goals. Not as extreme as you would though. I settle for less easily.

who defaults to Judaism?

it's among the top ten largest religions in the world

the dropoff after the top 4 is pretty damn big though

I'm pretty sure Greece does. I think Poland did.

in Civ 5 poland defaults to Catholicism and greece to eastern orthodoxy iirc

I want you to go and look at the first options in the graphics menu.

they damn well should too, eo christianity is so greek it's not even funny

Why is the samurai just barely better than a pikeman?

so lads

how do you win a religious victory against computers who spam like 50 apostles late-game

because it's a poorly designed game

you don't, see above

remember the six million goyim

becuase horsmen are broke because they are balanced for civ v movement rules

Samurai are basically a wall when defending

14+6 is still fewer though

Is it possible to get the penalty for Warmongering down to None (or less?) with Casus Belli

If you're implying vsync will solve the problem you don't know how vsync works m8
I don't care that it's running past 60, I care that it's using system resources to do it. Enabling vsync will not stop it using those system resources

the six million were alive jews would outnumber christians
because they would have made them extinct rather than the other way around

getting a 100% production boost is the bigger culprit

it's ridiculous how cheap horsemen and knights get compared to other units

I want you to keep looking.

>getting a 100% production boost is the bigger culprit
It adds to the problem, but numbers is overrated. The problem is how much shit do horseman, as a class, have. Ignoring control zones alone is enormous. Movement speed, in system where moving more than 1 tile is an achievment is absurdly good, etc. Horses now are essencially what CB/XB were - absurdly good units that cheat the system.

I just captured two barbarian settlers, what the fuck

my good dudes, can other end game crisis trigger after i have beaten Unbidden?
Cause general status quo of the universe is far from being concluded

Should I, /civ4xg/?

Kongo is getting too close for comfort.

I just want to get my Cultural Victory without someone closing in on my heels.

Also, first timers, I know I'm late as hell in terms of turns and year for a victory, but how am I performing for a Cultural Victory? How's that Tourism and Culture?

kek, I swear I stared at that menu for 10 straight minutes and didn't see that
Thanks user, feel free to laugh at me

what mods for stellaris 1.3? only played it when it came out, with the w40k

But they should be good if they are proportionately more expensive, its just that spearmen are basically the same cost with the relevant policy, but shit against anything that isnt a builder

How do I look up the names of the capital cities that have been conquered?

And what city does spain start with? Madrid?

darker hex frames mod when?

damn bugs, started infesting planets within my borders
time for first fight

>But they should be good if they are proportionately more expensive
No, it's not good to have one unit type be so OP. Even if they bring back limiting number of units by resources you have, this is too much. Good gameplay comes from strategy, spam horses is not a strategy, it's a bullet point.

Good would be if they had downsides and upsides like they did in 5. Granted 5 failed their balance too by making them utterly useless, but what can ya do.

You want to see good balance in 6? Spear vs Club have good balance. Spear is weaker in head on match, but gets to be better at killing horses. And I still would counter horse army with horse army in civ6 not with spear army.

they should just split the movement penalties from hills and forests

hills don't give a movement penalty to cavalry but do to non-cavalry, forests don't give a movement penalty to non-cavalry but do to cavalry. At least then you would have some reason to make non-cavalry.

trust nobody... not even yourself

Nah the movement system is sound as is. moving through forest IS harder than a plain. All you need to make it enjoyable is to bump movement of all units by 1 point. Horseman movement bonus should be their key selling point, case that's what they had going for them. The issue is few other things CAV get that should be nerfed to the ground, mainly avoiding control zones.
