I have the option enabled and am married to a regular kingdom lady not a claimant.

It counts down any time you aren't actively traveling on the world map but time is passing. Waiting at sieges, waiting while you train peasants, and so on will all count toward reading the book.

stamina in silverstag is sort of different, it decreases as you sprint. normal running wont be effected by that

So what are best infantry & archers for assaulting castles in AD1257? There's plenty of cavalry choices, but they're hella expensive to lose on the walls. Most factions seem to have shitty infantry, nothing like huscarls.

i mean it helps you to store more loots to sell in early game and to store more foods for bigger army in the late game

It's mostly for convenience/saving time, kind of like Trade and Persuasion. It's useful if you're planning to actually wait out a siege instead of just killing everyone.

how much right to rule would I need for other kingdoms to not declare war on me immediately? this whole system seems really overwhelming to me.

so will bannerlord give you the option to build borders around territory? It would be extremely useful for defending newly conquered lands and you could tunnel in large groups of enemies to destroy them all at once.

logistically unfathomable for the time period it's supposed to be depicting.
Borders so large barbarians just went wherever the fuck they wanted. The only borders were a large enough military presence.

I like the tunneling idea for some levels though. Neat if some of the city/castle maps had a small underworks component that you could use for like the prisoner rescue missions and shit.
