When THE FUCK are we going to get over wing effects in DCS? Fucking FC2 had it.

I want to play

I saw a raceroom racing experience poster here before. Is he still here?

If you want to play contact Ivan, hes special like you

been gone for a while, you faggits still doing BMS ops?

Friendly reminder that F-18 has been delayed by AT LEAST a year.

The ground crew is not happy with me.

can you ramp start?

:^)

Please stop

It was in the trailers for the 1.5 update with the EDGE engine too.

Yeah, what's up?

...

Do you use the clutch?

I got the summer pack when it was on sale, and I was driving the 92 dtm cars, and those things destroy transmissions for breakfast. It feels like the clutch is like on and off.

Is there a way I can fix that. I reallyneed to shift like a grandma to not get damage. Heel and toe is almost impossible.

Guess I'm going for a trackhat clip.

I don't have a third pedal, but I recall hearing before that the clutch is extremely fragile to the point where some people consider it broken. I do know there's a lot of options in the menu for how and when the clutch grabs so you could mess with those, but I think many people use auto clutch or something to work around that.

The DTM 92 cars are great fun by the way, and one of my favorite classes to race.

cool, gimme a steam id so I can add you. Maybe when can do something tomorrow.

steamcommunity.com/id/Imtali

Welp.
Just search for Grounded Fin in the "add friend" search. I have Jill from valhalla as an avatar.

google imtali steam

same screen pops up in the first result

Are there 3 people that play R3E here?

I'm

You quoted one of my posts m80.

But I just played a bit of it, and I got ticked off by the lack of online people. Still, the cars are fun. the mustang pulls hard.

>barcap has me fight 4 su27 and 4 mig29

i was supposed to lose to that, r-right?

Looks pretty dope

You weren't supposed to engage.

Is the Ultimate Argument Campaign any good? It's only like $5 and wondering if it's worth.

why can't ed like
talk
at all
about anything

>We occasionally did intercepts against SR-71s in which we got out to Mach 1.9 to Mach 2.1, but flying at those kinds of speeds were rare. Before anyone thinks we were trying to chase down SR-71s, that was not the case. The intercepts were head-on in which we simulated launching AIM-7s using the SR-71 as a MiG-25 simulator.

Copied and pasted over from my review in steam:
I bought this during a sale for about 5 US dollars.

Playing through this campaign was a rather enjoyable experience for me. What it offers is precisely what it describes: 20 missions flown over Georgia with a SU-27 in midst a fictional conflict. I spent a total of about 15 hours to get through the entirety of it.

The missions themselves seem to have had a lot of attention put into their beliveability, too. The situations imagined in the missions are very much realistic and the voiceovers are pretty convincing. The air to air engagements, like one would expect in a war nowadays, are very swift, tense and tactical. If you expect to come out alive you better order your wingman around and order him well. However, depending on your proficiency flying the flanker, these missions might be a little on the easy-intermediate side of difficulty.

Moreover, the variety of missions provided is pretty ample, expect interceptions, combat air patrols, escorts, a transfer flight (with a reference to an old LOMAC machinima), ground strikes, sweeps and anti-ship strikes.

Do note also that due to the campaign being made by russian speakers and for a russian speaking public, the english localization isn't always 100% gramatically correct. But this hasn't been a hindrance in any way.

Overall, I'm glad I picked this up and played through it.

TFW arma 3 has become so stagnant. and no actual good modded servers to play on.. Life is hell..

>you will never have your dick sucked by an F-100

Anyways, got my first Hobbymaster model in the mail today, pics dont do it justice, it's pretty detailed and certainly better than any model I could ever make

Are you the faggot that dropped the Mig-21 model and broke it's pitot tube/AoA indicator?

if so, gulag for you

Nope, didn't know there was another model fag here. I've looked at the MiG-21's but the only ones I've seen are Polish or North Korean, I want a classic VVS one

DCS should have stayed FC3 level.

5 years per plane is a joke. I'd rather have 20-30 simplified planes vs 5 full fidelity ones.

Youd actually get planes you want in comparatively timely fashion.

Look at Gaijin with War Thunder. They have made like 200 fucking planes all with fully modeled cockpits, just not clickable. (Some even have animated switches and levers, some FC3 planes don't even have that)

Combat flight sims as a whole are just so dead. You have one company with 0 competition. Nothing will ever change.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. War thunder is shit, there's nothing remotely realistic about it, nor is there anything good about churning out dozens of planes that all share the same basic flight and damage modeling with minor differences.

Stick to your arcade shit containment zone

those models look like shit

the real travesty is that we don't have an american sim dev that actually does work

War Thunder's quantity is not even a strength when they half ass the majority of them.

>Look at Gaijin with War Thunder.
And your whole argument is discredited. War thunder is arcade shit for arcade babbies such as yourself.

> I'd rather have 20-30 simplified planes vs 5 full fidelity ones.

Well good job missing the entire point of a simulation game, to simulate aircraft. Contrary to popular belief, DCS actually isn't about FC3 airquake or fucking mig deathmatch. It's designed to simulate modules and all their functions, from take off, to combat (if any at all), to landing.

>(if any at all)

neck yourself autist

You first, you filthy fucking casual.

Guys it's not about the systems, its about the T A C T I C S

That's why the F-15 isn't unrealistic, because the tactics are real.

-sweeper

...

I really wonder what a modern flight sim would look like if it was made by a Western team.

So do the IL2 games or RoF not count as a "proper" sims either just because they're air quake?

Come on user, tone down the elitism. Different sims can coexist.

Got to fly on the side door of a Vietnam Huey today. Pretty cool, felt like I was going to fall out though lol.

BMS but more refined.

So basically the fucking GOAT combat flight sim to end all flight sims.

Arcade shit with paid consumables is the farthest they'd go.

youtube.com/watch?v=YKLRctxPY6k

o shi

XPlane is American isn't it?

Not a combat sim though if you were asking about those.

o fuc

Yeah I was thinking modern combat flight sims. 777 makes IL-2 right? Are they Russian?

They are in Moscow but I think part is also in America. But that might just be marketing and stuff.

Aren't those anti-ship cruise missiles? You know, the very specific job of the F-14 to intercept? Why is it an Viggen commercial?

>captcha: Torino Phoenix

Nigga do you know the purpose of the Viggen.

The AJS variant? Well, it's sort of a fighter-bomber designed to take off from roadway tunnels converted into hangars.

>the very specific job of the F-14 to intercept?

Their main job is to intercept the launch platforms (backfires), not the missiles themselves.

Where the fuck were you when Stimpak drove a BMP all the way up North and bodied an F-15?

webmshare.com/play/LX9ar

fuck off stimpak

extremely aesthetic ad

try again

Go and check its armament.

I thought the Viggen was going to get anti-ship cruise missiles.

>implying they'll work for the first 3 years of release

Well, that's a separate issue.

Posted from my MiG-21 while inverted.

I just hope they learn from their MiG-21 coding and do it less special snowflake-y this time.

inb4 the vigger turns out to be a buggy broken pile of shit :^)

>dead on a saturday

At some point you have to realize that we can't sustain ourselves like this. We should consider merging with other generals so that /simg/ has both lively activity and a diverse, enjoyable array of content.

Since some generals like /wgg/ are out of the question, I think we can expand into a sort of /k/-on-Veeky Forums general by merging with other simulator threads like /a3g/. With that obstacle out of the way, we can easily become a large and popular general with a lot of content on it.

Arma's a great game and I think most of the people who are here already would enjoy it. So why not merge?
