And can't be pinged away, is a dragon and has 4 attack which is a real problem for priest. Even better than Thalnos.
It doesnt need one. The main reason it sees play is because it is the only good neutral 5 drop that is not a tech card(ie harrison). Also 1 mana shamanax likes it too.

decent body cycles are hard to come by and Azure drake is used because its the ultimate all rounder card, a spot that was originally reserved for the yetis before they got blown the fuck out.
