Going to go to a cars and coffee meet tomorrow morning, should be some actual nice cars and adults to talk with about them.
Rented a bearing race driver set from O'reilly's earlier and changed out the pinion bearing races in the Ford 8.8 under my Wrangler. Going to see how far I can get on rebuilding it and installing an ARB locker.
On that note, anyone know where I could buy or rent a reliable in/lb torque wrench that doesn't cost a fortune? The guy at O'reilly said the ones they sell for $30 are junk and I can't justify spending $150+ on one just to set the pinion bearing preload.

Heading to bed early, an active day of electronics repair, chasing a new monitor, and karting is ahead of me on Saturday.
Tomorrow I'm detailing a 1987(?) Ford F350 460 4x4 with 14,XXX original miles. Mother's boyfriend's old man died and be inherited it. Has a little rust on the driver door and quite a bit on the tailgate. Was used as a plow truck for the oil wells the old man owned.
Depending on how it cleans up depends on whether or not he's going to have it repainted or just have the door & tailgate repaired.
Frame has surface rust from end to end but it's solid underneath.
I might pull the wheels off and sand them down for fresh paint and primer.
Truthfully depends on how much he's willing to spend.
So I heard back from the casino. Unfortunately someone "more qualified" than myself applied. Sister clued me in and a tribal member got the position. It was one of the natives I trained with.

Decided not to do anything today. School starts back up on Monday, first time I've been back to college in 8 years.

Car idles poorly, runs fine, needs new tires. I just received all new hoses and vac lines yesterday. Meant to work on it today, but decided it was too cold, since I have to do it in the street. It's the first full fall/winter I'm going to experience in 6 years, so I'm just being a baby desu.

Replace and install all the hoses and vac lines, since no one thought to do it in 30 years on my 190E. Vac lines have seen better days in that car. Also replacing FPR, then need to install jacking plugs, change oil and filter, then sort out my blower motor since I have no heat in the car at the moment. I pulled another one from a junkyard, but didn't bother testing it first, since it was only $8. I'm hoping it's just the fuse desu, so that I don't have to undo the entire mechanism because it's a pain in the ass.
This may sound stupid, but I haven't considered that as an option.
The problem with living into be middle of nowhere is there's nothing around. The casino I applied at with live tables is 102 miles away. That isn't a big deal as I can live out of my van.
Hopefully others have live tables. Being a blackjack dealer actually sounds kind of enjoyable.
