Ever since i saw the Civ 6 trailer and i thought it was another facebook/table game so i've completely ignored it.

So my question is, is it better than civ V? dont give me that overused "it needs 5 years of expansions then it will be good!" as they do this with every civ it seems now.

I guess my my real issue is, has it been dumbed down?

Only played it a little but seems like a fundamentally better game than V already, just crippled by bugs/AI shenanigans. Hopefully they'll be quicker with patches than DLC.

I think Beyond Earth's version of the AI personalities was better. There were more metrics and they didn't seem to massively over-value hating your actions to liking them, they were more consistent in what they considered a good/bad level in their agenda.

Its very different from Civ 6, I think only the 1UPT issues are similar.

Diplomacy does factually not exist in this game, its way worse than in Civ 5.

You know how the AI perpetually hates you? They also perpetually hate eachother

So this is what people mean when saying the game is comfy

nah not really, maybe don't do it at the start. but the way i see stone and other bonus resources that provide hammers is that its there to help rush wonders when needed. its not really worth anything if your citizens can't work it anyways or if you can put a district over it that would give good adjacency bonuses.

Once you stop building wonders and leave that for others they will hate each other even more than the player.

declare holy war and sweep up their religious units with a cavalry unit. peace out. do it again if he tries it again. eventually their religious units will be too expensive to make and you don't have to worry anymore

It's kinda irritating that they didn't include all of the Seven Wonders in Civ VI.

I made peace and war weariness won't go away. Why is this?

For fuck sake. The series is up to its sixth game and they still haven't revamped (or introduce as it seems) diplomacy. Every game has similar complaints in regards to how other civs interact with the player so we get a new fucking art style? I mad.

How long does it take to go away usually? 1 less per turn?

EVERY Civ from I-VI has had 4/7 at launch - the Colossus of Rhodes, the Great Lighthouse of Alexandria, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and the Hanging Gardens of Rhodes.

Civ III Conquests (the second expansion) was the first to add the Mausoleum of Mausollos. the Statue of Zeus, and the Temple of Artemis.

Civ IV Warlords added the Temple of Artemis, and Civ IV Beyond the Sword added the Mausoleum of Maussollos and the Statue of Zeus.

Civ V added the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (it's the same wonder- it was constructed for Maussollos), the Statue of Zeus, and the Temple of Artemis in the Wonders of the Ancient World DLC pack.

Those three have never been in a base game.

War weariness goes up from losing battles "nearby", pillaging, and attacks on the city centre.
Occupied cities get an automatic amount maybe.
In a defensive war in which I steam-rolled to enemy I had literally 0 WW in my cities and about -7 in theirs.
It goes down very slowly or not at all during war and goes down quite slowly in peace.

That's about as much as I've managed to figure out.

Why the fuck does everyone spawn so close to each other? I literally can't plant a city anywhere without making her mad with forward-settling. I just wanted to sit around, smoke hookah and eventually go to space, but it looks like I'll have to Jihad some horsefuckers before that can happen. New to Civ games. Played my first game on prince difficulty, accidentally won via science. Second game upped it to king, and I'm actually doing better in all regards? At what difficulty does the game start kicking my ass?

Arabia has discount for buying mosques? Aren't mosques religious buildings you choose as beliefs during religion creation? What if someone else takes them before you?

They have a discount on purchasing any religious building they choose.

In every other civ game king is the "taking off the training wheels" difficulty, in 6 it's immortal

Up it to emprah. AI gets 2 settlers from the start and will most likely get all religions before you even finish building your first holy site.
