>Favorite Map Flounder Heights (formerly Arrowana Mall) >Least Favorite Map Kelp Dome, I've played it so many times and it's so formulaic >Favorite Weapon Sloshing Machine Neo, though I've been experimenting with many weapons and haven't gone back to it in awhile >Least Favorite Weapon Bamboozler, true garbage >Favorite Sub Weapon Point Sensor >Least Favorite Sub Weapon Squid Beakon, as I'm always sprinting around and recklessly fighting, though sometimes when a teammate uses it I'm very grateful >Favorite Special Bomb Rush for Suction Bombs >Least Favorite Special Kraken, since many people seem to have gotten good at repelling them >Favorite Mode Splat Zones, as it really highlights the center or important spots of a map >Least Favorite Mode Rainmaker, as it forces you to sprint into the enemy's spawn area, which is sometimes too chaotic >Favorite Mode/Map Combo Moray Towers TC is amazing >Least Favorite Mode/Map Combo Camp Triggerfish RM, because of how many times my team has slogged through that expanse of metal grates where you can't swim >Favorite Ability Quick Respawn, because I'm heavy on the offense and it can get me right back to the fight if I slip up >Favorite Headgear the Beret >Favorite Footwear the black rocker Boots >Best Squid It's Callie

Man, the testfires were amazing. I'd barely noticed the game until the ad popped up on my gamepad, I just figured I'd give it a go because why not, and one hour later it was an instant buy. I can't remember the last time something was that fun.

I actually didn't like anything about the game prior to the Direct/Testfire. I thought it looked childish and was pandering to some oddball niche Nickelodeon/90s kids demographic.
Maybe that was the case, too, but I found myself immediately in love with the aesthetic of the gameworld when I actually played it. I remember when the Testfire changed peoples minds about the game and /v/ was flooded with 10-15 threads while it was in session. I'm glad Nintendo did at least one thing right in the past few years.
