How many varieties of "mental" damage can you think of? I was thinking of a contrarianly designed roguelike where physical damage causes special conditions and it is the mental effects that drain willpower, which are used more similarly to hit points.
Pain, Fear, Demoralization (generic willpower drain caused by a superior fighter), Horror, Awe, Madness.
More broadly, ANY damage types also work.

If you're looking for easy win, get hackers to hack secrets and print them in your newspaper, endure firefighters coming and burning your stuff, fighting back will just cause problems.
Best way to use your main guy is to have him as mastermind, who recruits henchpeople, who will recruit people doing dirty jobs.
If there is risk of your people being captured and ratting you out, it's just better to let them die in fight.
Certain clothes will help when you're out asking for donations, recruiting or converting kidnapped people, sneaking ect; check the wiki.
Keep your mastermind in safehouse that brings no heat (police attention), so they won't get caught in siege.
Get some expendable guy and make them go to bank and make note robbery, you will get $5000 without fight.
Good way to get some starting juice on new guys is to go with them to some safe-ish place na paint graffiti.
