Your first car

What was the first car Veeky Forums ever owned?

Mine was a 96' Toyota Camry, was my grandparents, got it passed down to me when they died. Pic related

I got a handmedown 1994 Ecoboost for my 16th birthday. Best car I ever had.

Not bad, the Camry is still my main car, only 110 thousand on it right now, so it's still got a ways to go, and the mpg is great

I have never owned a car. 27yo

1974 4 door Chevy nova 350v8

It was pristine inside and out. Paid $400. The heater would melt your shoes. God that was a great first car.

A lancer

wtf are you lost?

Are you triggerred?

1995 Ford Contour. White with that extremely blue interior.

Not my exact car but same deal.

Good memories

Ford Fiesta 1.1 -95

Lol I remember never wanting my parents to ride with me because my car smelled like weed all the time, lmao

1983 944
My mom put up 1k and I put up 1k and then we fixed it up together. The main issue that prompted it's sale was that the fuel pump was burnt out.

>pic related but not mine

Had it for just a few months before selling it due to getting accepted into a uni. college, meaning that I'd need a more practical car

Ford Focus MK1 Statio Wagon

I still have it

>no father detected

That feel when your mom is car illiterate

v6 tib.
Crashed it. Bought a 93 celica. Sold that. Currently a bike rider since my job and school are within 3 miles of my house. Fucks kills my legs though

I kinda want to buy another.
Damn son. I was in the same boat. Even worse, she thought she knew all about them but didnt know shit. Thats how i got talked into buying this thing. I had fun with it though. Had it straight piped for a while.

A lowered 3500 dually almost exactly like this one. Got it for 1600 and spent 20million on gas for the year that I had it lol. Girls loved it though.

how is that thing not practical?

Me too. I learned to wrench on mine.

Gotta drive it to work tomorrow since the daily is down. Glad I kept it around

1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme LS

Bought it from my great-grandmother for $400 with 210k miles and ran it to 230k before I sold it when I moved across the country. Lost my virginity in that car, got my first job on a paper route in that car, countless burn-cruises in that car. She served me well.

1965 ford f100 with a 4 speed and 351 Cleveland v8. pic related that was it the day i sold it

AW11 MR2, hand down from my brother, ended up totaling it being the dumbass I was.

Had an AE82 Twin Cam Corolla, beautiful car that served me well with the occasional dead battery.

Hah oh man uh a 1993 Geo Metro. 1L, 5 speed, with a full tank it weighed as much as 3 motorcycles and a helping of duct tape. I loved that thing but fuck it was shit. 20 bucks a month in fuel, but the oil disappeared. In a 2 week span it would lose a quart! Not leaking, not burning, just gone cause magic. One time I was driving into the city and a strong wind blew me into another lane. Nothing I could do, just fwoosh and that was that.

Now, ten years later I have an 09 Ralliart. I love it but damn is it bad on fuel.

AE111 Levin, not even bzg but it was fun to hack and so reliable. Overheated it and only had to swap a busted radiator cap.

>351c
>4 speed
>sold
NIGGA Y THO. I want a 4 speed and a 351 so bad.

Parents let me drive their 94 GEO Metro, it was a 3 banger and it did 0 to 60 in about 18 seconds.

1966 Land Rover Series IIA

Reliable as hell, though slow as hell. It got me where I needed to go no matter the weather. Still have it though it's not registered or insured.

Volkswagen Fusca 1.6, or Volkswagen Beetle 1.6 like you gringos like to call it

Sadly it fell in a river because i forgot to pull the handbrake, F

if it's pic related that actual AW you should of died with the car

also as for first CAR I have ever owned, my 1965 ford f250
>300 i6
>c6 auto
>dana 60 with 4.11s
>bench seat
>fuzzy dice/hula girl combo
love it. slow as all fuck but damn is it fun

if it was in good condition it would be nice but mine was pretty rough and i wasn't to enthusiastic about restoring it.

Mine is a 2000 VW Passat all it needs is a tire change for now.

huh. looked good from the outside.

>slow as all fuck but damn is it fun

My Land Rover is the same way. Loud, bumpy, slow, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

92 mx5, I've put about 100k on it, I feel like I'd be better off with a bike of some kind and a luxobarge nowadays.

I just realized my truck might actually be faster than one vehicle. your landy.

>incest fantasies mixed with mum wrenching with me.

I didn't ask for this erection.

Drew colins?

oh yeah body and wheels were in great condition but engine, driveshaft and axle were in real rough shape

Probably. I used to have arguments with a kid in school as to what was slower, my Land Rover or his original VW Beetle. We never raced to see. I only have about 80hp with that 2.25L 4 cylinder, and it's geared pretty low. It'll crawl over anything, but 60-65mph is about it without an overdrive.

89 Saab 900T

1999 ford windstar with like 100k miles, it was my moms old minivan and she hadnt used it for like years since she got a new car and it was basically abandoned

When I got it it was all sorts fucked up, the power steering system was leaking mad fluid and the power steering pump was fucked and made a lot of noise and the steering wheel was very hard to turn

Also it had a leaking head gasket and was burning coolant and engine oil
I drove it for like 9 or 10 months like that and it was a massive gas guzzler and this was when gas was expensive

At like 106k miles the tranny on it blew up and it would be stuck on 3rd gear limp mode, mechanic says it could cost around 2k to fix it so i jsut dumped it in the junk yard and bought a shitty but very nice mechanically wise 1999 honda accord that i saidly still have today, 1 year later

First car I bought myself? Altima SER, first car my parents lent to me after getting licences, mazda b2300

What?

also i should mention that like 2 months before the tranny blew up i finally got to changing the whole power steering system and rack and pinion shit as well as that i used some blue devil head gasket sealant and somehow that shit worked and stopped burning coolant

Then 2 months later the tranny dies, fuck ford

92 formula firebird, i initially didnt really want it. im not sure if it was my lack of being under the hood with a v8, or the massive exhaust leak it had (pipes were disconnected below passenger seat), but i immediately loved it. someone hit me while i was doing a u turn and fucked it pretty good. ended up donating it to goodwill, the $500 or whatever it was off on my taxes was more than id of gotten for it anywhere else in town

dude we should smoke sometime bro

i wish my first car had some real history like yours. would be cool to have owned an inherited car.

my first car was a rusted shitbox my parents got off a used car lot. i nearly died in it multiple times from the brakes failing/engine cutting out/no ABS or DSC. eventually the engine block just cracked when i stopped maintaining it.

9mpg, 100kph/60mph top speed, no stereo

9 seats tho, so it had that going for it

-89 Mercede Benz 190. i still have it as a skid car. pic related is mine.

99 Cadillac Seville STS. One of the worst cars I ever owned but I loved it and it hauled ass. Totaled it.

My first car was a citroen Xantia because my dad had one when i was 3, and god it was the best. I got it for 400euro when i was 19. It needed be better then my friend's e36 316i, so i needed to have the 2.0i with SX package. Never been so in love with a car as that one. 122BHP @ 1190KG YO!

1 problem, she was SO EXPENSIVE to run! 65liters meant 550 kilometers, and i won't bother with the rest.

Pic related, that was her the day i had to sell her...

122BHP

what the fuck, is that considered a fast car in europe? real question, i'm not meme-ing.

well no, but it is faster then a 316i

oh, neat.

I tried to be sarcastic, but in text makes it pretty hard. It did feel fast at the time, 0-100 in 9.9 sec is pretty ok when you are 19 right?

But with that much weight you cant consider it fast

...

Dad's 1993 pontiac grand prix gtp

It was a great first car. One of the coolest cars in our school lot.

...

...

some pos 91 240sx similar to pic related except mine was in shit condition

>completely rusted through frame rail and wheel well
>mk3 supra front bumper frankensteined on it
>once in it's life it was red, primer black, then maaco special teenage ricer blue
>nothing worked right, except the awesome door chime bell

I want a clean 240sx these days

>tfw I have a clean 240sx
>tfw yuropoor

'92 Dodge Spirit. It was a piece of shit but it was my piece of shit dammit.
