Someone explain to me how to play squishy champions because I just can't seem to get it. Either they have a long ass escape or long ass range or I just shit the bed.

Graves is a "ranged" champion that does a shit ton of damage in melee range while at the same time having a better defensive buff than 90% of melee champions, in addition to a kiting tool and a FUCK ton of burst damage.
If an ADC champion gets reworked and suddenly they're able to compete with the best junglers in the game, chances are something's fucking broken.

At low elo's the ability to actually engage reliably on people is worth more than damage. Malph and Sion have two of the best 'Gonna get in your face RIGHT NOW' abilities. Played right, Sion is also an obnoxious lane bully.

Just broke into Plat 3 aka the top 100,000 players, it's not the highest elo but I still feel accomplished. With the questionable upcoming S7 changes I guess this is a good place to quit for now.

What you want when picking a champion are the following:
1. CC (the more the better)
2. Good Damage
3. Safety (in lane and teamfights)

This will lead you to champions like Kennen, like Caitlyn, like Amumu, like Orianna and so forth. Which are all solid. Moving away from this you might move towards damage heavy champions that lack in other departments (Akali) or just champions who have possibly low numbers and drag you down compared to others (think Kali without a Braum/Ali support).

You can win with anything, sure, but those are three guidelines to pick by.
